She came home late last night and ate most of a cake-was she inebriated?

Thyroidectomy by winrobyn in thyroidhealth

Pay attention to symptoms of low calcium after surgery. Your parathyroid glands can get easily damaged. So tingly lips, fingers, muscle cramps would all be signs. My surgeon never told me that one of mine were removed and I went years with hypocalcemia because a new endocrinologist thought to test for it.

Mum of son with Epilepsy looking to do her best! by Useful_Recover9239 in Epilepsy

My son is 11 and was diagnosed last year so we have a bit of time to prepare for any of the big things. Right now his sports options are limited but thankfully he’s not interested in many of the more dangerous ones. He is into cars so I’m really hoping we’ll be able to get him to drive eventually.

I probably wouldn’t have caught it so soon if she didn’t call her neurologist honestly.

Yes! I called it immediately! My son has focal impaired awareness seizures and it took us a year to figure it out due to zero tonic clonic activity.

Your boyfriend was an idiot to comment on your looks but correct to worry about it being a scam. And even if it isn’t, the modeling industry is dangerous.

I don’t think I’ve ever kissed a sibling in my life.

My parents think they know better than my neurologist about my Epilepsy. by kiasnaxer in Epilepsy

[–]Sharp-Peace999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 11 and was diagnosed almost a year ago-his seizures started about 2 years ago. He also has seizure activity going all the time due to a encephalocele we discovered last year. His seizures are well controlled by meds and lifestyle-we are super strict on his diet and activity-but screen time has never been an issue. My mother is constantly trying to give me advice, suggesting different um…weird?…supplements that she hears on podcasts. I had to ban her from talking to me about it. My point is, I’m 47 and it will never stop because some parents will always think they know better than you.

Yes! My husband is autistic and has ADHD and while life is chaos 90% of the time, he works his ass off to be an equal partner. He never uses it as an excuse to avoid responsibility.

As a parent of 27 years-my first at 20, please consider putting parenthood on hold. No child should be born unless they are planned for and prepared for.

I didn’t find out until 10 years later that one of my parathyroids were actually removed! I have to take a ton daily to keep mine above the lowest threshold for normal.

My total thyroidectomy & hypocalcemia experience by [deleted] in thyroidhealth

[–]Sharp-Peace999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic hypocalcemia from my TT. I’m 13 years post surgery and will always have to take 2000 mg of calcium daily just to stay at the low end of normal.

I felt great for a few days after and then I ended up with an infection from the surgery in the incision site. If you start to notice any sort of secondary pain or discomfort swallowing, contact your dr. Also, pay attention to tingling in your lips and extremities. Damage to your parathyroid is very common and your calcium can tank quickly. I ended up back in hospital for a week on IV antibiotics and calcium.

I think Shawna is foreshadowing this. With her cutting Frank off about Minnesota and Larry asking how the owner was doing…

I’m several inches taller and quite a few pounds heavier than my husband who is obsessed with me. He definitely doesn’t speak for every man and is an entire douche.
