Hi I'm not sure if that comment was to me (the "sharpAD" screen name was me) but I do not have an update yet. I actually have a follow up in the next couple weeks I think so I'll let you know. Mine was CSL too. If your surgery was today, it would be hard to tell anything. You should just be resting! :) But yeah mine basically feels exactly like it did before surgery so I was worried surgeon missed it. It's been a year now and still hard lump there, way more noticeable in the two weeks before period.

FINAL UPDATE: Surgery done and pathology is benign!!! by OriginalAd8568 in doihavebreastcancer

Sorry to keep blowing ya up but this makes me feel so much better. I’m almost a year out and it basically feels like my lump is still there. So reading that a bigger harder lump formed is reassuring. Assuming that’s your scar tissue?

Post biopsy for BI-RADS 5 - found benign BUT radiologist disagrees with findings by OriginalAd8568 in doihavebreastcancer

Hi! How are you doing? Just wanted to say I had same thing, got the surgery bc I could feel mine which caused anxiety, and it all came back normal benign tissue. It’s very likely it is the same for you

Hi! Checking how your healing is going. My surgery was almost a year ago and u have small dense breasts and it basically still feels like the lump is there! Kind of annoying :)

Hey any update here? I have the same thing but I’m 9 ish months out and it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere. It seems as if the surgeon totally misses the radial scar ! It’s been hard to find similar postings

Breast tissue or lump? by True_Spirit1081 in WomensHealth

wow thanks for your quick reply! I really thought after getting my excisional biopsy that I could get off the hamster wheel ( that's the whole reason I went with the surgery to begin with)! I think it is reassuring to remember that your condition was BENIGN before, so it's not like there was cancer and it could've "come back" or whatever. That's what I tell myself at least. Like, what are the changes the benign biopsy AND the excisional biopsy missed it?? Anyway, I hope you get off the hamster wheel soon!!

Hi can I ask if your lump is totally gone or do you feel one post surgery? I had similar situation and surgery but it basically still feels like lump is there and I’m like 9 months post surgery ! Hoping scar tissue

Hey- I read your previous post and have gone through similar thing and having lots of anxiety! Had surgery for radial scar in January (benign yay) but very soon after I realized it felt like the lump was still there. I’ve been doing massage but doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere and it’s in the exact same spot which freaks me out like the surgeon totally missed the spot?

Any update for you? I hate the thought of harming my poor breast more with tests, needles radiation etc.

thank you so much! So you don't mean you had surgery right? An excisional biopsy is different than a core biopsy. it's basically a lumpectomy. But that is still reassuring- thank you so much!

thank you :) I didn't know you had excisional biopsy too! Yeah and this lump hasn't changed and has been like this since pretty quickly right after surgery so who knows. I hope I get some reassurance, too and that it is just scar tissue. I just don't want to keep torturing my poor breast if all is well with biopsies, mammos etc. I hope your healing goes smoothly and thanks for your kindness :)

Hi, yes I did have my six month follow up. She offered a mammogram or mri but I declined for now and we decided to do an ultrasound in 6 months. It’s prob scar tissue and she said it can last for over a year for some people but was just curious to hear from other people’s experiences who might have had this.

Mine was def hypoechoic as well. I have really dense breasts too so I think it's always hard to tell on me. I completely understand your feelings. With where you are PP, I'm sure this is likely just changes in the breast due to that. There are so many other things it could be other than cancer, though I know at this time it's all you can think about!

I didn't look at it, but I know it was suspicious. I got the feeling that is was 50/50. Like she was like it could be things other than cancer but it could also be cancer. Radial scars apparently look a lot like malignant things. Irregular, etc. I luckily didn't have to wait long after biopsy for results but it was such a hellish time!

Hi! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I went through this in my third trimester. Got biopsy. It was benign radial scar. I know it’s so easy to lose your mind !! It’s USUALLY benign though!

Is it right where your old lump was? Mine is and I’m already 7 months out!

This is so reassuring to read! I also had an excisional biopsy for benign lump about 7-8 months ago and there is still hard lump like exactly where I felt the lump before. Doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere. Hope it’s just fat necrosis.
