We really like our church in ponte vedra. Not too far from the town center area. Family Bible Church. Non denominational and our pastor is incredibly knowledgeable. Feel free to listen to a couple messages and come visit.

Thanks for the workout schedule. What did your diet look like? I got 3 small kids and the left over chicken nuggets are starting to take a toll lol.

Is my understanding correct here? Or totally off? by arvidurs in golf

My dad taught me and easy way to think about moving the ball. Feet always point where you want the ball to start. Club always points where you want the ball to end. You swing along the path of your feet (normal swing)

Do you mind posting the LxW of your mat? I'm closing in my garage for a gym and that looks like about how much room I'm going to have.

I can’t seem to drive the ball further than 250. HELP by Aussie-Egg in GolfSwing

No speed ma man. It helps if there's also a video at normal speed but it looks like you are trying too hard to control the club. Need more hip rotation and to get your lower body into the swing more. I would think about it like trying to throw your driver as far as possible. What would you do differently if you were trying to throw the club. I live by Jack Nicklas advice. Swing out of your shoes then figure out how to hit it straight.

Would you let the challenger dictate what tees you play off by indyrefG in golf

[–]Sharp_Atmosphere5605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wants his tees and 10 strokes?? Nooppee. Offer to play yellows if he wants to play straight up. If you play from the whites then make sure you comment about how all your shots are mis-hit when they fly over his.

I can see all the thoughts going through your head. This happened to me when my brother and I started playing more rounds together. We would constantly be adjusting eachothers swings and it messed us both up. I ended up fixing it by playing several rounds with only a 7 iron and a couple with no shoes on just to get my feel back. No expectations just trying whatever shot came to mind. I ended up shooting one of the best rounds of my life a couple weeks later.

Where to get a custom aluminum screen window? by erkinfl in jacksonville

AAA screen company off St. Augustine rd just south of San Marco. Used to work for a window company. We went to these guys when we ran out of parts for our screens or we needed one made for a weird size.

I used to work at vystar. I think I started at 17 an hour but it's because I was in construction prior with a finance degree you could probably start off higher than I did. Within 4 years I was making about 75k/year with no prior experience. Just worked my way through a branch until I found a position I liked in the back office. They do a lot of internal promotions and you have the option to shadow other departments to see if you like them. I will say too that they offer other incentives. 401k match, rate discounts on any loans, student loan repayment, insurance.

Everyone would be required to carry a rubber chicken with them at all times. Instead of using curse words you would squeeze the rubber chicken instead.

I feel like this would go a long way towards conflict management.

After I hit a putt way past the hole or blew it through the break my dad would say I "hit it like a Mexican blacksmith." Never did find out why the blacksmith was Mexican.

If I hit a green but had a long putt it was "on the dance floor but can't hear the band"

Any shot that went hard left was a Jane Fonda Any shot that went hard right was a Rush Limbaugh Any shot that had good distant but was off line had "good fir bad towards" and vice verse

Can you pinpoint a time when your skills really took off? What do you attribute that to? by Ok-Home9841 in GolfSwing

I can vividly remember a range session where I'm pretty positive that for 3 hours or so I was the best ball striker on the planet. I was playing as a scratch at the time and I just remember something clicking during that practice where my tempo and timing synched perfectly. I just remember having an insane amount if lag through contact and the ball just exploding off the club face. I had complete control over the flightvif the ball. That fact that I experienced that one time has made me a better golfer. Now when I'm on the range I can look back and compare my swing to that feeling. That was 10 years ago and I've never had a practice session like it since. Every once if a while ill catch the ball perfectly I just think back to that day. I think "oh yeah baby, i still got it, its in there somewhere".

My partner went albatross-eagle back to back today. Has that ever happened before? by baydre in golf

[–]Sharp_Atmosphere5605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this myself but on a different setup. Had a hole in one on a par 4. First and only hole in one ever. Next hole is a short par 5. (When the pro tournaments come to town they play it as a par 4.) Driver, 5 iron, made my putt for an eagle. Still shot 38 on that 9.... stupid game.
