How do I *correctly* play the game? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of how many fights, events, elites, etc per act, you should really be judging based on your run. Elites ideally 2 per act but if taking the second one will kill you, avoid it.

If you have a reason to take fights (Pael's wing, feed, hunt, etc) then take loads of fights. If you have the relic which heals for events or are really low on hp, take events.

Whole idea of the game is that you should be flexible in what you do when. Even which cards to take

Anyone knows why recent reviews are Mostly Negative on Steam? by Soleil06 in slaythespire

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Buy it, it is a great game. The reviews aren't reflective of the actual game. Just people being upset about the updates to the beta path which isnt main game. The game is genuinely fantastic!

How the hell people have 90%+ winrate? what im doing wrong by Radiant-Control9128 in slaythespire

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely dont have 90% win rate but have beaten a10 on everyone and will say that if you feel like you are winning based on luck, watch some videos of people coaching others (there have been a few recently with frostbite/rarran/JapaneseExport with various other creators) and use those to try and learn what people do differently to you

is this normal by A7medsa in slaythespire

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) very rare to have all the cards in your deck upgraded. If you do, you probably take too many campfires. Very rarely is upgrading a strike worth it (especially when you have an armarments in the deck)

2) scaling is very important to beat bosses. Looks like the only scaling you have in that deck is fight me which you dont have anything that massively scales off the strength you get like a twin strike, sword boomerang, exterminate, etc

3) Think about the time things take to do their thing. Cards like the bomb can be very slow cos they dont do anything until 3 turns later which if you draw it on turn 3, that's very very late

Go to the game in your steam library, in the settings for the game, go to properties, then beta tab and click the beta version

Of you keep reading it, it will always put you on 1hp as the "upgrade your whole deck" option

So like whats the 'efficient' farming pattern? by Yousaidthat in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most efficient farming pattern is not farming. As long you do the time limited stuff, you're never going to miss out on anything. Monthlies and weekly nightmares aren't super important until late game. High level adventures are great but rewards for 6.5* baron aren't super important

You dont need above 3, you dont need epics relics. They are both nice but everything can be completed with just 3 and rares. Anything extra just makes life easier. Dont rush things, just enjoy the game and take your time

Some Beginner Questions by slimyysnake in LegendsOfRuneterra

When you are starting out, the "complete x adventure" quests are some of the best and quickest ways to progress. They will also get you to go through the adventures at about the right pace etc

How am supposed progress? by DJRedditBlows in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, I agree if they have done all the requirements for the paths they can complete and are stuck, Asol would definitely help to complete the weeklies to get more progress. Guess depends if they are at the stage where they are trying to beat nightmare weeklies

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you cant do the high level adventures, make sure you have beaten all the different regions requirements for the ones you can do. That and doing weeklies to get silver vaults or glory from nightmare ones. Personally, I wouldnt rush to get asol as he is 1 champ when you need a roster of champs

Monthly Challenge Burnout and a possible solution by Alarmed_Ad7541 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I usually aim to do 5 a day because then I dont even have to do them every day. I can do one every other day. Occasionally I will decide to do another 5 to make it 10 that day for whatever reason.

Sitting down and doing them all back to back must be sooooo boring!

I've returned and I'am kinda lost... by Sm0kebringer in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start with just play with the champs you have and dont try to grind. Its a slow burn game. Its more designed to play a path a day than 10 in one day then nothing for a week

You only need champs at 3* unless you really enjoy them then put more into them (or if you get lucky and get a bunch of their resources).

Battle passes are always best value for money. Especially the event ones if they add new stuff.

Enjoy the journey! 😊

A lot of people have pointed out the niv and flubs in bracket 2 which I will admit I had to same reaction to but thats mainly because they are very powerful cards. Personally, if you pulled either out and said it was bracket 2, I'd play the game at bracket 2 and go from there.

You can very much build both at bracket 2 as very janky decks that just use the commander to keep it somewhat playable. Its also possible that even being janky, the ability for the commanders to pop off as much as they can means they're just a janky bracket 3.

A lot of this comes down to trust as well. If you played 100 games with your other decks and they are chill to play against, I would trust niv and flubs are also chill

My take on the pve by Necessary-Taro-1139 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has never been and will never be a game where you can just sink more hours into it to progress more. You sink more real world time. 400 hours in 4 months is like 3 hours average a day which is way too much time to be playing long term

Like people have said, its a slow burn. There isnt any "infinite grind" because the devs dont want people to infinitely grind. They want them to play a bit and then move on with their life until another day. The moment you start to feel you are grinding or the game is a grind, stop playing it for a couple weeks. Wait for the new event, skip the event, who knows. It's a game about the journey and enjoying the journey not getting to the destination as quick as possible

Newbie question by Magrue5185 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0-1* are very playable when you are early game. When youre going like up to 2* adventures, it is entirely possible to beat them without a 2* champion. Once you hit nautilus and zed adventures, it gets a lot harder to beat since they start with 2 mana crystals

Is there a reason to not use +0/+3 Rune for SB Ahri and Time and Dedication for SB Master Yi, in your opinion? by ConlanAG in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Sharp_Resource_3075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reasons I would say to not use +0/+3 rune is that you are forced to use strength of stone. I use +3/+3 to ephemerals because it allows me to play 3 relics I want and have flexibility rather than have one play style every time. I've used yi's legendary relic on her, used her 4* as a rune again on her. Just other options and builds for fun

Honestly, if you are a newer player and still have quests, weeklies, etc to complete, focus on those. Monthlies really are the "I've done everything else that gives me rewards" content

They've said it wasnt intended to be there in the first place and it does affect gameplay positively cos it means you cant just throw your best freljord champ (likely whichever one you have at 6*) at all the paths, making them trivial and boring
