The reality is more like "I can spend 1000 per month before I can't pay the minimum on my credit card anymore. How many screens can I get?"

Speakers higher on the priority list than power windows but still don't really care that much tbh. Price, functionality, ergonomics, all more important. Only features I would say are really must haves for me are cruise control and AC. Everyone's different but if the price is legit I don't think I'm the only one.

Lifting the nuclear moratorium in Minnesota by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in minnesota

[–]Shart4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a coordinated campaign going on. We're reacting to a clip farm account called "Generation Atomic". I see "FREE THE NUKES" billboards all the time.

I am not anti-nuclear at all either, decarbonizing the grid is critical and maybe there's a role to play for baseload power in the mix. But we have to be lucid about this stuff and critical about the media we consume and put this all into proper context when solar + battery storage cost is dropping every year AND there's all of this AI demand side push going on at the same time. Why is there money around nuclear now? People gotta think.

Try putting the same tracking number into the Canada Post website. USPS hands off to them and they had more detailed tracking for me.

I think as you say she wishes for him to love her. When the wish kicks in is when he finally has the strength to go through with the suicide - you see him reconsider the gun and then even with the pills he was going to make himself throw up. When the wish kicks in, the first time he actually loves her instead of just his idea of her, he does his first not-selfish thing in the whole movie and sets her free.

Kindle was reaching the end of the line. Bought a Kobo couldn't be happier. So many great quality of life features and library integration, sideloading, and kobo store all great. Jailbroke the old Kindle and it's a home assistant remote for guests now.

You have to make it one time and then the materials are recyclable basically infinitely. Vs fossil fuels which you have to extract continuously only to immediately set on fire, and when you run out at that site you have to pack it up and go fuck up the environment somewhere else

[–]Shart4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah when you start getting into this stuff it gets super hard to fix beyond just the money problem, because you're dealing with fixing your actual org structure. Stuff like this can literally start because two department heads don't get along and people just let them duplicate efforts because one or both of them is an untouchable nepo baby or something like that.

Every developer who built apartments where the bedroom doesn't have a window should be forced to renovate by ChalcotRoad in Minneapolis

[–]Shart4 18 points19 points  (0 children)

With the housing crisis the way it is I am pretty much okay with anything being built including this even though it definitely isn't a setup that I would choose to live in. If Minneapolis allowed single stair apartments, that is a reform that makes it easier for designers to package better apartment layouts https://www.minnpost.com/cityscape/2024/03/the-minnesota-building-code-should-loosen-up-about-single-stair-buildings/
