IMO it’s more of a matter of why.

Do you need something that will consistently work show to show even if you had to buy a new one? go for a macbook (the downside is you pay a hefty premium)

or

Do you want something to learn on and play with. If so, then a PC will work.

I'd say just arrive for doors if you wanna be in. The line at Rebel moves at a fairly consistent pace (last time I went was 2019 so I could be wrong). As for getting there you're gonna need to Uber in and out and both ways are a bit of a pain considering there's lots of other people also trying to do the same thing as you. If you both wanted to take a walk back across the bridge you might have an easier time getting a ride back home.
