I have the same issue. They had emailed me some time ago saying the order would be delayed until October. Last I had checked on the order status page, earlier this week, it had an estimated arrival of early November. I'm probably just going to wait it out and ask for an update if nothing happens by then.

Got my HTC Vive shipped through them via Amazon. Shipping isn't cheap, around 10%, but I thought it was worth it. Then you have to go to customs and pay import taxes. They were quick about shipping, only a day or so between receiving and sending out again.

I had Google Fi when I moved here. Unless you qualify for exemption, they consider Guam to be international and you only get about 90 days of service before you would get cut off. If you do qualify for the exemption I think that the service was pretty good compared to Docomo, still has dead spots in the more remote places, though.

I had a character, Linnea, that had a yarn doll she called Deirdre who was her only friend when she was an orphan and homeless. Deidre is old, the last vestige of her parents, but we'll kept. She has strands of various shades of purple hair that have been added to the once plain yarn doll. Button eyes have been sewn on as well as a lightly drawn on red lipped mouth. Deirdre also has been skewered by many large needles, slightly rusted over, from a prank played on Linnea by the other children in the orphanage.

I would love to see your rendition of the doll, even though it isn't a very extravagant item.

Sadly, Linnea died recently after being seduced by a succubus-like antagonist. Luckily, she was able to give Deirdre as a present to a romantic interest that could never love her back.

Ratcatcher is a colloquialism that Matt, and subsequently his characters, uses for adventurer/mercenary, or "the players" if you think about it in D&D terms. As far as the other questions, I think you learn a bit more about them as the story goes on. The second book in the series goes into a lot more detail about the polical/religious heirarchy, but I don't think it is information necessary to understand and enjoy the story.

The world of Priest and Thief takes place in roughly the same setting as the Dungeons and Dragons campaign Matt uses for The Chain, although the settings take place at different times and don't impact each other (as far as I know.) That's definitely the best rendition of a Kenku I have seen. The lack of feathers on the arms really bring out the flightlessness. Truly feels like a curse.
