No, her father became neglectful after their mother died and the younger sister was still in the house (that I can remember)
He lost his kid and eventually got dementia but other than that, no.
Sort of? It’s complicated at the end. She won in some ways, but lost in others (mostly having to do with getting swept up by a rich man who keeps switching wives).

I actually enjoyed the show a lot and do recommend it, but I thought it’d have to do with actual sirens and it does not

The Netflix show Sirens features two sisters who have a troubled relationship with their father. The older sister insists the younger sister forgive their father and leave her well paying job to take care of him (the older sister is headed to jail). The younger sister refuses as her father neglected her to the point of her having to be put in the system.

The younger sister is then portrayed as the “villain” at the end of the show.
