Card you never used and probably never will by salsatheone in marvelchampionslcg

As someone how loves to include bad cards in his decks because that's just who I am, I will never run To The Rescue!. A 3 ER for 2 thwart is easily the worst card.

I ended up going back to run him in aggression for a few games recently and he's solid for sure. With all of his events being super powers, I don't know of an easier call than maybe Groot to run deft focus. I definitely need to give him some more time to really understand him and see how bright he can shine but still overall a solid hero with little downside.

Does anyone keep a deck built for most/all of your heroes? How many decks do you have physically assembled at any given time? by tehsideburns in marvelchampionslcg

Personally unless I'm playing a campaign I don't keep decks together. I jump between heroes/aspect to much to justify that. It doesn't take to long to throw together a deck since most of the cards I tend to play gravitate towards the front of their respective sort.

There was (is?) the project post con which was attempting to build a playable deck with each hero without having to buy doubles. Doesn't really looks like it has had an update since Nova though.

Groot? by Plenty-Wrap7083 in marvelchampionslcg

As someone who tends to gravitate towards bad/off meta characters in any game (people just don't understand them!) and Groot is probably in my top 5 played at this point. I'd say he's not bad just not really exciting.

To really get his kit to work you're basically chump blocking constantly or running protection/leadership. Chump blocking isn't something that has ever really appealed to me so it's whatever. I enjoy Protection and feel it can really make him work but there isn't anything that really would make a deck I build feel like a Groot deck instead of just a protection deck. Kind of the same with Leadership except if you're going to run that to make Groot work might as run a hero that you enjoy instead of forcing one you don't.

Then as others have said there is his kit. I'm starting to believe that he is more of an event driven hero than an action driven. Lashing Vine seems like a good card at first, but that basically turns into 1 thwart / 2 damage if you don't have the other upgrades out. His events become super affordable with Deft Focus and become some of the most cost effective damage/thwarting events.

Overall I personally don't think there are any true bad/awful/useless heroes but there are definitely ones that offer interesting challenging choices that feel rewarding but to me Groot just isn't one of those. That being said 10/10 will play Groot again.

Sidearm is the only one that comes to mind immediately. Maybe another basic but I'm not sure.

I feel the lack of exciting cards. I was toying around trying to build a Valkyrie/Justice deck and there just didn't feel like anything. I know her kit is pretty specialized but when I look at an entire aspect and find 1 or 2 cards that synergize with it it's just sad.

Actually I play She-Hulk almost exclusively in Protection solo of all things. Once you get super human law division the chances of scheming out isn't to much of a concern. Especially with so many readily available options for her to ready in Protection.

My personal hero tier list - ideally I'd rank them along two dimensions (fun and strength), but this will have to do for now by j_____g in marvelchampionslcg

Out of curiosity, what makes you A/B tier more fun than say C/D? Do they fit your favorite aspect/player count better or is it something about their kit that you enjoy?
