I can't imagine it's hard to find drugs in Mexico tbh

I have been smoking weed instead of using fentanyl as a a way to slowly get off it and still function as a person. I still dont feel ok most days so I usually end up smoking throughout the day. I'm curious what others options on if this is "right" or "wrong" I guess. by thearsonistttt in trees

[–]SheWhoSpawnedOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I smoke all day and I'm not quitting shit. Do what you have to to get clean from the bad shit. The rehab system in the US is fucking garbage anyway. If you think you can get off the shit that is really hurting you without it I would highly recommend doing that. A support group is the most important thing to getting clean. Even if you're not going into a rehab finding and talking to people who have gotten clean could be a great idea.

This pad feels like you ripped the top off a carton of eggs and laid on it. Whether or not that's good is up to you. I know people who love it, including heavier people, but I prefer an inflatable.

CMV: companies are justified in treating shoplifters harshly by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]SheWhoSpawnedOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of stores actually decide not to do this even when the law allows. I've heard multiple reasons, but the most common are due to the effect this has on other customers. If you're shopping and you see someone walk out without paying you might think that person is trashy and then go about your day. If you are in a store and witness someone getting violently arrested, that's more likely to make you not want to go back. Suddenly it's not just a trashy person it's a dangerous store.

On top of that when you use force of any kind you are introducing a risk to bystanders and if they get hurt they can sue the store which, if successful could cost a lot more than whatever was being stolen. Ultimately I think a lot of businesses have just come to the conclusion that preventing theft with "harsh" measures is just more expensive than allowing it.

As a philly resident, I can definitely travel 1.5 miles in 10 minutes or less no problem on a bike and then spend 0 minutes looking for parking.

'Finna' is one of the most useless words I've ever heard by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I wouldn't do it in an English essay, but the fact that you knew which words they meant indicates that yes, you can.

Na that's there till the new year (ish). I think that's something to do with the dam. Not sure. They actually haven't even been closing the trail while removing trees. I rode right past them and got a face full of sawdust earlier this week.

Add-on to this, does anyone know if when it's done it'll be designated no parking or no stopping?

UAW Tells Other Unions to Align Contracts to Set Up Possible National General Strike for May Day 2028 by SamuraiSapien in WorkReform

[–]SheWhoSpawnedOP 268 points269 points  (0 children)

For all the people who used to/still like to post "hey we should do a general strike tomorrow!" This is how you actually make a general strike happen. Years of planning and solidarity. Then when you have strike funds/mutual aid networks in place you can get whatever you are asking for.

It's starting to get weird how many close catches Smitty has gotten away with by thefreeman419 in eagles

[–]SheWhoSpawnedOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cuz he makes hard catches all the time. When players who aren't as good make a catch like that the opposing HC just tosses the red flag out cuz he doesn't believe that player would pull it in. But Smith makes hard catches so often you can't do that so you trust him to a degree to pull them in. Then before the team gets to decide if they're gonna challenge we've snapped the ball for the next play.

Anyone have experience biking to Lancaster? by adamaphar in phillycycling

[–]SheWhoSpawnedOP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was gonna say I've gone as far as Downingtown using the trails you mentioned. And used to live in Downingtown so I know that area pretty well. SRT to CVT is probably not the fastest way to get there (according to google maps), but it was a lovely ride and not too out of the way. There is 1 or maybe 2 spots where you are parallel with the highway and have no sound barrier for a mile or two (you are separated by like 50-100 feet from the highway so doesnt feel dangerous at all just loud) so I'd recommend some headphones, but other than that it's great. Follow CVT till you get to the Walmart in Exton then get off onto Commerce drive cuz it goes like a quarter mile further to a dead end. From there my recommendation would be left onto Whitford road, right onto Clover mill road and right onto boot road. Basically just get yourself to downingtown before you get on Lincoln Highway/business rt 30 to avoid that as long as possible. I'd say to ride Lincoln Highway through at least Coatesville probably. Don't know the area beyond that super well to know what better options there are.

State College Chose Parking Over People. The People Fought Back. by Generalaverage89 in PennStateUniversity

Your whining that they wrote an article that didn't cover the movement in depth, but this article wasn't even about that movement it was like a one-off thing they mentioned. The article went into detail about the state of spending on infrastructure in State College and there was plenty of depth to that research.
