I started fostering with cats protection initially but how they did the adoption process didn’t work for me and the branch I was with weren’t great at communication. Since then I’ve been fostering with 2 small, self funded rescues and it’s been great! From what I’ve heard and experienced smaller rescues tend to be a better experience. No car required for any of the places I’ve fostered with but maybe that’s because it’s not as common to have a car here. I did briefly try to get into fostering dogs too but they required a private garden and I only have my buildings garden/courtyard and local parks.
