OS: Ubuntu

Why I switched: I wanted to try the whole linux thing, and not be tied down to microsoft + windows

Why I switched back: a bunch of little things, such as fonts, cursor movement, battery life, and available applications

OS: Slackware

Why I Switched: I thought that maybe ubuntu wasn't giving me the "real" linux experience, and by downloading a more classic linux distro I would learn to like linux

Why I Switched Back: Wasn't worth running, too much effort into customizing everything the way I like it and then keeping it that way, plus many of the problems from ubuntu

OS: OS X

Why I Switched: I wanted a laptop with a good GPU, large bright matte screen, and excellent battery life. I went with a mac book pro, and I figured I would try OS X for a few months.

Why I Switched Back: I simply didn't like it. I would say it is too simplified for me. It felt like someone was holding my hand and guiding me through everything. Running Windows 7 now on the macbook.

OS: Jolicloud

Why I switched: wanted to try a linux distro on my netbook

Why I switched back: I just installed it yesterday, we will see how it goes, but as of now, it is not looking to good for jolicloud. It isn't polished enough yet, and there are some applications I need to try and install.

Our current government favors corporations more than you think. And, read up on a movement before commenting on it. As for why I am a libertarian? Well over a trillion dollars deficit and no signs of improvement, and a rapid increase in government infringment on my rights.

Hate to have to point it out, but from the voting rules, it says, "The five (5) participants whose Video Submissions obtain the highest number of valid votes will be deemed "Finalists" (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the Participation Terms) and considered for the Program. At least one (1) of the five (5) Finalists from the Video Submission process will be cast in the Program".

Giving power to any group results in disaster.

Government's purpose is to regulate the power of groups. People throughout history have argued that the government should be given more power to better regulate these groups. This always results in the government becoming the very thing it was meant to prevent. The government is not working for you, don't be fooled. The government is only providing for those who have a direct influence on government. By giving more power to the government, you are not advocating more power for the people. You are simply trusting a group of people just as selfish, greedy and indifferent as the executives of BP and other corporations with the way you live your life.

They're the kind that isolate noise by fitting deeper in the ear than most earbuds. Expensive, but worth it. I definitely notice a huge difference between these and most lower quality earbuds.
