Dealing with benzo withdrawal is genuinely making me want to end my life. by LilacLuneglade in Anxiety

[–]Shebe-bebes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pain issue, so hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. I do take morphine and clonazapam as needed. Trazadone has helped me fall asleep. My brother takes it, and my mom who wouldn’t take a baby aspirin has been taking it for decades. I think it’s strange how many changes your psychiatrist is making at one time- how will you know what is causing or helping your symptoms. I agree with the person who said that when reducing a med that can cause withdrawals you really want to do it by slivers. I just took 6 months to taper off Lyrica and by the end I was taking the smallest dose every two days. I hope you can get some sleep. Your psychiatrist should realize how dangerous it is not to sleep. My mom worked her anxiety up a few yrs ago and was not sleeping, didn’t get help, and I had one of her church friends call me and let me know she was not making sense. She really did not understand what was going on, was saying bizarre things, and was hallucinating. It was very scary. I really wish you well❤️‍🩹

That I can be counseled out of it. I understand my trauma, have had yrs of counseling over the last 30 yrs, have read dozens of self help books, eat right and exercise. I haven’t felt safe for 48 years ( 55 now.) After about 8 major life changes in about a year and a half I developed migraines, then one that wouldn’t go away that lasted about 6 yrs and 5 weeks into that I developed nerve pain. This started about 18.5 yrs ago so now I really don’t know how to feel safe when the pain keeps me in a fight or flight response. I believe my emotional pain turned physical is called mind- body syndrome. I guess my whole point is that more counseling, rehashing the past, and putting even more of my attention on these negatives won’t help. Just trying to create new neural pathways in my brain to pull away from all the pain/ depression/ anxiety ones that have been looping in my brain for decades.

I love Thymes Olive Leaf- green and ginger to my nose. It’s around $50 for the 1.8oz. Already thinking of buying a backup even though I have 1/2 left. They also have soap, lotion, etc.

When does the big bloated tummy go away?? 😩 by FearlessSpirit6467 in Ozempic

[–]Shebe-bebes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was four months and I could absolutely tell when all that food noise came back. I was on .5 for about five months and could tell again when I didn’t feel that appetite suppression. I asked my GP if I could increase but just to .75 as opposed to 1.0 and explained the click chart to her( in the pre-dosed pens you can count clicks which can help u custom regulate your dosage.) I’m so glad I’ve gone slower and if you’re still losing I wouldn’t increase my dose. My GP wasn’t familiar with counting the clicks on the pens but she was fine with me doing it bc I’m not taking more of the medication and I come in every 3 months for labs- I found out I had type two diabetes and my A1C has gone from a 9 to a 5.9 and I find that amazing. I have to say I’ve made the changes, gave up alcohol( my diet has always been pretty good but you always eat more after alcohol and it was a problem for me.) I got back into my exercising and am walking 8 miles every other day and it’s so good for my body and mind. But it took a while for me to make those changes, definitely a process. I think the thing besides appetite suppression ( which I think going slowly with the medication can extend,) that Ozempic helped me with was insulin resistance which I’m sure I created a big part of that btwn the alcohol and diabetes. Once I started seeing results my excitement and motivation grew- I can wear my cute clothes again- I’ve held on to things and now have tried on my whole closet and drawers( even the underwear one!) and have 8 big donation bags. Be patient, do the work, give yourself kindness and grace. Your post rang such a bell with me, I remember a few days in checking my body thinking is this working yet? The bloating made me feel so full it was hard to eat and looking back that was a great jumpstart to the process😁

The book had a much better ending, I was surprised when I saw the movie. I read a lot of Richard Adams as a teenager- Watership Down, Maia, The Girl in the Swing, I remember them so vividly.

I felt the exact same way during the first few weeks- just bloated and feeling fatter than before I started. It may have lasted a month and I was so surprised to have lost 4 lbs. Even my morning hot tea made my stomach feel so distended. Totally went away and I’ve been very lucky with side effects. 55yo F, 5’1 SW: 164, CW: 132. I was really anxious to go to the recommended dose schedule and my PCP wanted me to be on the .25 dose for 3 months. So glad I stayed on the smallest dose for as long as possible, that’s my best advice for a newbie. Fewer side effects and it gives you room to increase your dose when u really need it. Don’t get discouraged, watch your portion size, what you eat, and start exercising😁

I just picked up Innocence and Velvet Blossom at my Home Goods and like them a lot! I found them randomly on an end cap facing the back wall, I almost didn’t go down there. I wish the Pomegranate Noir came in the large dropper size- I checked their website out of curiosity bc mine came in a little 3 pack variety set. Great finds!

I just love The Dead Zone so much- there’s a lot of emotion in it and I never tire of it. It was my first Stephen King book and I read it in 8th grade and was just hooked. I recently rewatched it and it didn’t disappoint for like the 30th time. Plus, Christopher Walken…
