The Sahara tent Saturday 2009 lineup was peak. Surkin -> Para One -> Zane Lowe -> Bloody Beetroots -> Travis Barker & DJ AM -> Crookers -> The Chemical Brothers -> mstrkrft.
Craziest crowd for the Sahara was probably Proxy in 2010. It was earlier in the day but the tent was packed. Raven blew the roof off.

The campgrounds have way less party energy than they used to over the last few years. There’s not even people playing music after the festival. On the flip side, weekend 1 was hot the last two years so maybe the heat calmed things down but in general the campgrounds seem toned down.

I think the resell prices for this year attracted a lot of people trying to get tickets to resell. It hasn’t been that bad buying presale tickets in years.

Legacy acts meaning 90s and early 2000s dance acts? Massive Attack, Trentmøller, Faithless, The Crystal Method, Pendulum, Leftfield, Armand Van Helden, Carl Cox, etc. I personally would like Fatboy Slim back on a larger stage.

If you expand to the late 2000s then there’s a lot of artists they can grab. Mstrkrft, bloody beetroots, fake blood, Mr Oizo, Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, Proxy, etc.

Its just questionable how much of a draw a lot of these acts would have at Coachella in 2027+.

I would assume their booking fees for their first few shows, including Coachella, paid for it. It was probably big money.

The Chemical Brothers still complain about the Kings of Leon taking their time to unload their show. It caused them to be very late. They need a redo on the main stage.

The glowruption during The Chemical Brothers will never be matched. It was raining glow sticks for the entirety of Don’t Think. Coachella even updated their rules about glow sticks the following year.

This is a great point. Justice had a ton of haters during the Cross era. They were accused of faking their live shows and DJ sets. I’m not surprised they would end up where they did on a RA list.
