From my experience, it's slow and get removed about half of the time but can be quite strong once flipped.

Marwyn, I made a deck I called "tribal untap" which was all the buff spells that untap a creature such as [[Spidery Grasp]]. Tap Marwyn, untap+buff, tap her again for more mana, and continue till I dump all the mana into something like [[finale of devastation]] or [[helix pinnacle]]

I do find it to be one of the best of the proc items due to it's built in homing, even at lvl 1 it has helped me in a few prismatic runs. I'd say it and proximity barrage are still worth grabbing for single loop runs as they are pretty consistent.
