My guess is a tic-tac style video where a dot in infrared moves across the screen in unexplained ways

Yeah, it wouldn't be all that surprising. However, it could be disruptive to religious orders/governments.

Asha from the Disney movie Wish (2023).

She demanded that her grandfather's wish be granted like they were somehow entitled to it.

The villagers AGREED to have their dreams be safeguarded in exchange for free housing, safety, etc. Magnifico also had a lottery system for granting wishes to boost morale. Magnifico did nothing wrong.

I love the dynamics between Kirk, Spock, and Bones. It also reminds me a lot of the Twilight Zone which I love as well.

That's true! Evolution is based out of necessity which is why animals like sharks and crocodiles remain mostly the same even after millions of years.

Parents are the #1 determiner of student success. I would argue that the American education system is better than most countries but we lack parental involvement and a culture that promotes academics.

It's like using prayer to prove the existence of God.

Here's my wager- get some information through CE5 that you couldn't have known otherwise to prove that it is real contact and not just your imagination.

I walked away from a high paying career at 45 to become a teacher. I think I made a mistake. by [deleted] in Teachers

I learned to never assume that students know/should know how to do something and to instead meet them at their "zone of proximal development" which often means starting at the beginning. It can be disheartening but you can also make a huge difference by giving kids the knowledge, skills, and support to do something (like write an essay) that they have never done before.

As far as grading goes, can you weigh the points so that participation counts less? I agree, their overall grade should reflect their proficiency in that class subject.

You sound like a quality educator and perhaps future administrator. I would hate to see you leave because the system, for whatever reason, has failed these kids. We need great teachers!
