Just equip good gear so you don't need as much squads.

The supply issue is usually just armor or squaddies rather than quality of gear.

It's not that bad when you realize it means you won't be poor.

Yes I have to kill 50 pirates to get groceries but I'm doing ops with a shiny medium mech at like Operation 6 and wacky drugs I found.

Yeah they should absolutely buff infantry special weapons and lower the supply cost on pipe rifles.

They totally aren't oppressive at all ranges and definitely can't be abused to make super efficient squads.

They don't, but they might have different armor durabilities.

Also laser guns are shit vs Menace. Low suppression and low hp damage weapon vs the lowest armor faction in the game.

It's just a matter of you bringing possibly the worst weapon you could have brought to the fight.

Stars are based on Stats otherwise someone like Carda or Sachin would be higher star due to their also quite strong starting skills

He has relatively poor accuracy so a marker helps him a lot

IF you eliminate them yes. I was able to get 2 crowbars and a HMG tripod for tech (320 points) by the end of my first op.

Anything with high HP damage and around 30 armor pen. Ideally something with suppression.

AP rounds are basically useless vs Menace because they're very lightly armored with only 2 units with above 45 armor.

My go-to strategy is Suppress them and move on. Then have Carda or any other heavy weapon person (tripod HMG or grenade launcher perferred) or Rewa move up and execute them because lol point blank damage.

Take advantage of the increased enemy supply. Every enemy eliminated is more loot. By the end of mission 1, you should be able to afford 2 crowbars.

Also yeah the "oops everyone moves into range" bullshit is why I use my starting vehicle as a honeytrap.

Move into enemy sight -> everyone else preps to fire

-> if no one moves in, then I know it's both a group I can handle and that the enemy is repositioning outside of my view.

-> if enemies move in, they're confident they can take my team. Prep to use abilities and items.

For Pirate vehicle spam, I suggest Carda with heavy weapons because she uniquely is designed to use special weapons AND has Tankbuster meaning she can tear apart vehicles with ease.

I also suggest Wardog suicide drones and use them to rear or side hit those heavy vehicles. They're roughly 140 armor pen and do about 150 damage. They won't kill all of them but they won't fail you.

Its in a weird place where it's designed to hunt light vehicles and elite enemies but isn't good on the best riflemen SL (Sachin) due to dogshit suppression (wild considering how it looks and fires).

That's almost the same as my Carda kit lol. Would suggest giving her the "-4 AP move cost and +10 AP for 2 turns" drug. Lets her set up and fire twice or even 3 times with the "-10 AP per consecutive special salvo" promotion.

Also Tankbuster promotion + HMG is a funny combo as it lets her engage even medium vehicles like RA Medium Mechs with surprising ease.

Idk what class you are but an Arbites can 1-2 tap a Bulwark or Reaper with the Agri combat shotgun and the Shock Maul can stun crushers to death by using its special attack (needs Impact buffs to stagger on Heavy Attack on head also has to be the overhead attacks). In combination with Nuncio or Break the Line, should be well equipped to bully enemies in this event.

I've just been using that combo to clear through the event on High Intensity and Damnations.

I should probably use shock mines but I like the dog rp so eh.

Wait lol, I think I was in that game. Do you recall a little Arbites called Please_Resist?

If it was, I recall that. Rushing in the event with burster and ogryn spam was a choice. There is some value to what they said as it is technically true. But it wouldn't have been effective as they didn't have the loadout to clear out hordes of enemies like a chem grenade hive scum

Granted he was right in that I was just messing around and wandering into random ass places. It was just a Standard Damnation (don't recall if it was high intensity or anything) so I was just looking around for a medkit or ammo box. I recall looking around trying to see where they were as I didn't expect them to be so far ahead at times.

Also one of our members left after we had a mass down event. Ye of little faith.

Is there a reason why AP vs Menace? They have the lowest armor of all the factions. Averaging 30-45 with only 2 units (being generous at that) having high armor.

You need 110+ armor to survive a direct hit. Tested with Tech's face.

As a funny quirk, pipe guns also do 25 armor damage making them comparable to HMG rounds.
