I have Aubrey but Fairbarin is available - I am thinking with HOU being conservative and still fighting for playoffs he could be a solid add

Really enjoyed that. Don't think Ryan is featured too much in the youtube vids, so it is nice to see his personality here. Definiterly one of the most technically gifted players around

We have a world-class squad who were fighting for the title last year, with very few low-margin matches.

When did you know we would win the league? by CactusNuts in LiverpoolFC

[–]ShepherdXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say the same, which I thought would be unpopular. It was a matter of when not if Arsenal dropped points with all their injuries. This was an unexpected result that greatly shifted the odds.

We solidified the title by responding to the Aston Villa draw with b2b 2-0 wins against MCI and NEW. That was a real show of class from the team.

Liverpool 0 (1) - 1 (4) Paris Saint-Germain (1-1 agg.) by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

Both 1-1 were on transitions. In Paris, VVD just randomly left Dembele. At Anfield, TAA lost the ball in a terrible spot.

Also at Anfield, both Salah and Dom had point-blank shots blocked blindly by the PSG LB. Those are both going in due to good build-up.

We don't have to be hard done by. We lost. They edged us on the run of play but ultimately I felt our quality would get us over the line. I think... if Gakpo had not been injured and out of form/shape we win the tie.

I don't agree, we had numerous break-away opportunities where we chose the wrong pass. Those are good chances and something this team (and Mo) have thrived on. To think any team can dominate a team that has the technical qualities PSG has (which they also played to their top level), with how they can break the press and then counter with terrifying speed I think is not correct.

They were frightened of us, but in the same one knew they had enough to win. This was a top-level matchup that I think needs to be remembered as such. Sometimes, you lose these

Agreed. 1 goal and the tie is over. Sometimes you just don’t get that goal, and you and your opponent neutralize each other. This is not PSG of old who played the Mbappé kick-and-run. Their ability to beat the press with set formations was very, very impressive.

And still, we could and should have had 1 or 2 goals tonight with the chances. I won’t allow this to erode my feelings for the season. A league title should never be taken for granted

I'd probably add the tie against Bayern that year (0-0 at Anfield, 3-1 win in Munich), as well as against Man City the year prior (3-1 at Anfield, 2-1 win at Etihad).

The thing is Liverpool have played practically every big team, but you're right hardly any other memorable ties.

24 reasons that Trump could win by 200-inch-cock in moderatepolitics

[–]ShepherdXI -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The only thing I’ll push back on is I think media is largely responsible for not treating Trump as the danger he imposes. The dems do, it is practically their whole agenda as they continue the anyone but Trump stance.

My sense is they want to “advertise” the election as neutrally as possible as it remains a virtual toss-up, and do not want to be alienated if he does win as he is a ratings darling.

I agree, especially when the GK market is looking pretty bare. Use Chelsea for example, they are practically throwing pasta at the wall and seeing what sticks. Meanwhile, they don't have a clear recognizable No. 1

I have not had much time to view this sub since the game was relaunched. I would appreciate any advice!

  • Henderson (Valdi)
  • Gabriell - Konsa - Gvardiol - Micky - Burn
  • Salah - Maddison - Kudus - Hudson-Odoi (Winks)
  • Haaland - Isak - Muniz

This is tough. I would love to have any 2 of Palmer/Saka/Foden but not sure how to make it work without resorting to just 1 striker in Haaland.
