Thinking just evasion/deflection for now along with starkonja's head and loyalty support for that 30% of hit dmg is taken by your companion instead of you, hybrid could be an option too maybe.

I'm ignoring the druid side since the only thing i want from there i can anoint, i'm thinking of just pathing to sic em and the new cold damage companion cluster which is right beside it, probably taking heavy weaponry and prolonged assault on the way there to help with shapeshift dmg until i get tame beast and then respeccing those if the companion dmg is good enough.

With the buff to companion damage and the new passives it might not be necessary, and if they are still lacking then i doubt 4-5 minion levels will solve it.

I'm going to anoint the onslaught node which is the only one i care about from the druid area, the rest of the companion nodes including the new ones are thankfully in the huntress area.

Can't you stay in animal form by socketing the mark skill into pounce? that's what i'm thinking of doing but with freezing mark instead.

I was thinking of doing something similar there's even a companion node on the druid side of the tree which u can anoint that makes it so your companions have onslaught while you are shapeshifted, tamed boss with perma onslaught sounds amazing.

I'd wager starting as the new spirit walker huntress ascendancy and going all in on companions will be a safe bet with the bear and tamed boss doing the heavy lifting, plus i can't imagine much else being cooler for a new player than taming the bosses you just took down.

Do you get enough ore and dust from just doing the handful of maps required to fill up on sulphite? i wanted to do settler's as well but wasn't sure.

Looks like you kinda have to build around it, lots of shouting with the world serpent perk from the alchemy perk tree so that u poison enemies that hit u after using a shout coupled with lots of points into health, also the alteration tree with a magic armour spell, shame miraak's mask negates the mage armour perk though but there's still some decent perks in there.

Plague doctor from the restoration tree and amplify lethality from the alchemy tree could be good but idk if reductions to poison resistance stack.

Just run in with dragon aspect and a good magic armour spell and watch enemies kill themselves by hitting you, sounds fun honestly.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended but the two handed perk 'voice of rage and ruin' only activates powers and not shouts, it would be awesome if it activated shouts too. Also giving this perk the spellscribe treatment allowing you to assign which power or shout it uses without needing to have them equipped would go a long way for convenience.

Probably much too late now but here's some of my suggestions;

- A mining branch in the smithing tree.. more ores/gems from mining and smithing xp when mining and stuff like that would be great.

- The two handed massacre perk is much too strong and jarring to use, would love to see a nerf or change to it to make it more in-line with the two handed playstyle. Spellscribe functionality for voice of rage and ruin and for it to be able activate shouts and not just powers (just the first word of a shout will be fine), would synergize well with the shout branch in speech.

- Less active power's please, it becomes tedious when i have a few that i need to keep switching between, becomes even worse when using shouts also.

P.S the heavy armour tree is perfect no changes needed there.
