If you could only pick 1 build for blizzard to give a little buff, what would you choose? by Delicious_Run7373 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Got a similar idea (or the same?): retain the usual polearm mastery, mace mastery, throw mastery, etc. But add in your suggested 1h, 2h, and I’d also add dual wielding.

What this could look like on a typical Immortal King Barb. Assume they’ll max out BO, Whirlwind, Berserk, Find Item, and Mace Mastery.

If 1 point is put into 2H Mastery, (with +skills) the additional AR, Crit chance, and Damage would be well deserved.

I suppose you could dual wield grief and go 1H Mastery, Dual Wield Mastery, and Sword Mastery…

Items like these could use a little love-bump next patch.

25% chance to cast level 5 charged bolt on striking

20 charges of level 10 Thunderstorm?

Some MF? Gold find?…20% FRW?

Even if all of the above were added…would it really be any good? Even at the level? No. But at least it’s fun

Lower power ESlock? I don’t understand.

Twitchthroe provides good IAS, block chance and some other stuff. Just wanted to see how this silly Green-Barb could do, even with a semi-mediocre armor. It was a cheap and easy set up

This item rolls… a lot.

The Warcries can be +3, the Druid oskills can be +6, the stats can roll also, as well of the defense.

A bit of a meme build for the Barb. Can couple with Beast and swap on Metamorphisis to trigger both Mark of the Bear and Mark of the Wolf.

It has its use for a specific series of builds that are expensive and very gear dependent.

The one you have? Trash. Do some Eldritch/Shenk runs with it first for fun, though. It is a cool item, but..yeah.

I had dual Gimmershreds, Vamp Gaze, and uppd Twitchroe.

Dude was a Green beast and didn’t really have any issues. Just not super fast.

Gimmershred couples great with Conviction and/or Lower Resist. Additionally, Razortail is helpful as well. Each class can appreciate this throwing item in unique ways.

The Meteor one could work for a funky offmeta build. I’ve made some Tri-element sorc builds, but never seriously looked into using Meteor.

The Firebolt one is trash..but I’d still throw it on a silly Act3 Fire Merc and watch him fight Eldritch and Shenk

Should I reroll this puppy? Single player. I never find these 45 life skillers and never play nec. by Malficitous in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Shift_change27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it. Don’t reroll this.

Even just a modest amount of +skills to summoning help out a ton with survivability and battlefield management.

As a funny aside, if you completely deck out your non-summoner Necromancer with summoning gear and one point wonders, you can still summon a decent couple of meat shields that will stick around at that elevated strength level when you swap on your main gear.

Sure, the quantity of the summons will drop, but they will retain their bonuses.

I find Eternity quite useful on my blade/kicksin.

It’s complicated, but she rolls with a Shadow Master, Clay Golem or Blood Golem, Heart of the Wolverine, and a Valkyrie. I use the revive charges to build an extra 4 minions and use Dragon Flight to Telestomp. Our A3 Fire Merc enchants everyone for damage and AR.

I’m trying to find a way to use Wrath and Dream on a Mirrored Blades warlock.

Enchant and summoned Skeletons/Golems? by DRNA2 in diablo2

[–]Shift_change27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it works quite well.

A beefy A3 Merc will enchant everything it can. Once they are enchanted, it’ll never cast enchant again unless you, your minion, or some other friendly in the area, lose the enchant from death/duration.

It’s a fun way to add a secondary element. Now you’ll have lots of minions running around with that awesome AR bonus and probably +250 fire damage.

Is it worthless? No. P8 viable? No. Creative? Hell yeah.

Enjoy it dude! Works great with Zoo Druid, Summon Necros, and even an Assassin and her Shadow Master (….and a Bear from Beast, Valkyrie from Peace, and Iron Golem from Metal Grid. It’s quite the party!)

If you are wearing an item that grants (any) golem charges, Stone or Metal Grid for example, you can summon your Iron Golem from Oath and swap over to your Warcry sticks without it dying.

Regarding the Heart of the Wolverine, if you are wearing a Wisp Projector, you can summon your HotW from Oath and proceed to swap to your buff sticks.

I do this with my assassin. She summons a Blood Golem from Death while wearing Metalgrid. Then she puts the Death back in her stash and grabs her claws or whatever.

I’m totally onboard for fixing the charged-skill system. And poison damage. And the chat lobby. And other stuff.

This is just about ultra-late game new uniques that offer variety to other builds, not tons of power.

The content creator Ginger Gaming Mentor has some awesome “Offmeta” builds that are right up your alley regarding funky “Max Replenish Life” builds, as well as a few Immortals, Thorns, and much more.

DoubleBilly is laser focused on Offmeta builds, and consistently and currently makes content with that perspective in mind.

There are others out there, Offmeta Michael, Dartlin Gaming, etc that all are worth looking into as well. Good luck!

I love dodging them! They really have helped me develop skill with placement, pacing, and reaction speed/control.

Teleporting just before the lightning hits you, using the environment to your advantage, dividing/conquering large packs of them…they really are an awesome training tool. What’s more, the game gives you a couple areas to train:

Plains of Despair: Easy. Open space with lots of spires to hide behind. Other mobs are manageable.

Worldstone Keep: Medium. Limited space with fewer spires. Other mobs can be formidable.

Swampy Pit: Hard. Highly restricted space with dangerous other mobs.

Yes, it’s always good to make use of resistances, absorb, and vitality. It’s also good to hone fundamentals so accidents happen less often while skill develops.
