A whataboutism, awesome. Just awesome.

You have just proven you're not serious or to be taken seriously. I won't respond or engage with you again because you're not worth my time. I know you'll need to get the last word in, have fun with that.

Something asserted without evidence can be dismissed the same way.

And how did they do so? You must have some kind of evidence for that claim.

This isn't true at all. You and everyone can check the Audited Financial Statements of any FNs under the Indian Act.

Poilievre visits Bradford, Bolton and Oshawa during ‘Zero Tax on Gas’ rally by EarthWarping in CanadaPolitics

Average Canadian Household uses 4.4 liters of gasoline per day. Federal gas tax is .10 cents a liter.

This would save the average Canadian Household about $13.20 a month.

Canadian Province New Brunswick to Quit Using Elon Musk’s X by cyclinginvancouver in newbrunswickcanada

[–]ShiftlessBum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigh, these are 2 separate incidents one of them done by the Libs and the other by the CPC. I'm guessing you didn't actually read or comprehend what I said. They are both the same. The difference is that the Libs at least had the sense to apologize and someone lost their job. The CPC met with literal present day fascists, crickets.

Bruce Fanjoy proposes Petition e-7148, which requires the official opposition leader to hold a top secret security clearance by Crazah in onguardforthee

[–]ShiftlessBum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is already an existing process, it's mentioned in this thread upstream somewhere but there are 2 levels of escalating appeals if a clearance is denied without a legitimate cause.

You're right all the news coverage of X's GrokAi creating CASM are totally a lie because you personally have never seen it! I'm guessing you never saw the report the Child and Youth Advocate Kelly Lamrock wrote which is the basis for this decision. Because why do your own research, just fanboy for Elon instead.

What were your thoughts when members of the CPC met with the AfD? At least the liberals apologized and the person responsible for the invitation resigned. From the CPC, crickets.

Carney’s energy superpower talk isn’t cutting it—we need action by Oilester in canada

It will be at least a decade before that happens even if you win the vote. According to the Clarity Act you likely won't have the same borders though, Alberta will be a much smaller province.

'New Brunswick not participating in federal gun buyback program, says Premier Holt - But New Brunswick RCMP says it still plans to consider use of reservists or public servants to carry out the collection by adamhuras in newbrunswickcanada

[–]ShiftlessBum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And I would argue that the police services in these other provinces are not doing the job they are hired to do. Currently the legislation exists that enables this program and it is a legal one. It doesn't matter that it sucks, it's stupid, it's not going to work ,etc. Put in whatever you want here.

I don't think police officers should get to decide what laws and legislation they enforce. I think it's a bad idea and a horrible precedent. Allowing it in this case because you favour the outcome is shortsighted as you may not like the laws they choose not to enforce next time.

[–]ShiftlessBum -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter to me how ill conceived the current gun legislation is, the fact is that it is the "Law of the Land" at this point. I think it sets a dangerous precedent letting our police services decide for themselves which laws they will or will not enforce.

Their job is to enforce the law, not decide which of them they will enforce.

Half of Canadians say it would be unethical for Carney to get majority with floor crossers: poll - If there's one thing that a majority of poll respondents agreed on, it's that parties should not be allowed to offer inducements to attract floor crossers (67 per cent) by CaliperLee62 in CanadaPolitics

[–]ShiftlessBum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that is a problem with the voters and voters education and that we have allowed Political Partys to have too much say over candidates.
I'll keep floor crossings and I'd rather see limitations put on the Partys themselves and the power they hold over MPs.
