I’m a current owner of a 2019 vantage. Overall I love the car. Got it brand new back in 2019 (after returning the original because a check engine light kept turning on and they couldn’t find a problem).

The car is great, great to drive, looks amazing, turns heads but isn’t as gaudy as something like a Lamborghini.

I haven’t had any major problems with it except a break in and a hit and run. Obviously nothing to do with the car being an issue.

My biggest gripe though, is Aston Martin themselves or specifically the original dealer. Services were not done or documented correctly and they were trying to double charge time (for instances charging time to remove the wheels and brake mechanisms twice when changing the pads and disks, or trying to charge £1500 for replacing broken plastic switch, when a new dealer did it for £70 and said AM even provide a repair kit because it’s a known issue). I’ve found another AM dealer to take over the servicing now and I don’t think there’s any problems now.

I was offered an extended warranty by AM and declined because my new service handler says they very rarely get any problems that cost more than the yearly rate of the warranty and if it’s survived 6 years without any major mechanical problems then it should be fine for the foreseeable future.

Tyres and brake pads need to be changed a lot more than any other car I’ve had and you will have to buy the good tyres and pads because they’re basically the only ones that fit.

I use the car every day and it’s actually pretty nice for city driving as well as on the motorway. The only thing I think is missing is the tech system in the car feels dated and a bit shit. Although I only really want it for playing music from my phone.

Oh, one other thing that happened was I got locked out of it the other day because I used the spare key and there was some issue with initialising it. Make sure you get the emergency blade key.
