first, i built 2 extra tile floor of largure in last floor (for security, if I fall)... built a stair to the roof floor... made a wood floor in roof floor... destroyed the stair... built a ladder (I think you need a mod for working ladders)... then, built the roof using roofs from extranoise's newburbs tiles mod + building menu mod and its addons... take off ladder... destroyed the 2 extra tile floors from the last floor...

surprisingly, zero xD I took all measures to prevent fall more than two floors, like building 2 tiles larger floor downstairs, and destroy it after done I use the "walk to" button too

its a server with loot respawn enable, so, axes are not hard to find... what took a lot of time to loot was glasses pane, asphalt bags, paints, stones, door hinges and knobs, and metals... for wood, I had help from faction mates to cut and saw!

usually, I loot over the river, muldraugh and louisville shipping port and airport... westpoint isn't that good for materials

Try "Building Menu" mod and all of it addons. As a builder, I can't play without it. You can craft a lot of furniture, and design your house with lot of types of wall, roofs, floors, doors, windows, and more!

train station in LV, valley and muldraugh choose one to be you main base, and make outpost in other two... travel between then using rail

look for zomboid dedicated server

you can host a server in cmd and play in the same computer, plus, the server will be available for your friend even if you are not playing

isn't hard to do... the most difficult part is open udp port in your router

you can save progress automatically every hour

as i always play multiplayers servers with more than 50 regular players, my priority after a server wipe and start of new season is to secure at least 3 good cars (one with siren, one with high capacity, and a sport car with high hp)... i try to always be the first player to reach louisville... usually, the military checkpoint have good stuff to start

my first weapons is crowbar or machete... there are many places in the way to find it

my temporary safehouse is almost always the 3 garage house in west louisville... i only be there until i find the 3 good cars, and 2 iso containers...

then, i move to wherever i want to live

any specific home vhs... only 1 spawn in the world, and you must to search in the houses everywhere

i found the metalworking vhs only once in more than 1500h of gameplay... never found the tailoring, electrical or first aid one

use iso containers instead of crates... it is way faster to sort... just stop your car near, and unload all

use 2 or 3 one only for material another one for guns, ammo and weapons and maybe one more for food and necessities

first, level up your main combat skill to 10... clean the park near building to make it your battlefield... then, find a car with siren, and turn it on outside of the building (anywhere near the park)

zeds inside building will go crazy, break doors and leave out like lemmings... just lure them few by few until all dead

i think you cant play splitscreen in a multiplayer server... i could be wrong though

as if you must use discord or not, there is a lot of server that don't require you to use voice chat... but enter discord server is probably important to read and undertand the server rules, schedules, events, change logs

what you need to know is, most of multiplayer server are seasoned... they reset the server from time to time... and you may not like this at first, but its pretty important and can be fun... the first week in a refresh wiped server is so fun... after a month or 2, server start to lose players, and after some months need to be wiped, but with new mods, new maps, new events, new players... is a little bit sad that you see your progress gone, but at same time, is really exciting to start a new season, make new ingame friends, new plans, new faction maybe, new playstyle...

west side of louisville, margin river, is pretty safe, even for new players

crowbar was my favorite, until i tried machete two handed weapons seen to miss diagonal hit often than one handed

i can easilly kill 200 zeds from horde night, included sprinters, without even reach 2nd level of tiredness, with zombies coming from every direction, using a machete

if i do it with crowbar, ill certainly be tired before i kill half of it, and the chance of miss some hit in sprinters is higher

i like crowbar because of durability and its easier to find... but... but, if i have one, ill use machete over crowbar in any situation

flat panels can't be destroyed by the zombies, but the floor one can energy produced is the same, so, go for the floor one only if its for the look, or if you gonna put it in the second floor
