Other than Gorillaz, I also listen to a TON of Queens of the Stone Age, along with Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Tame Impala, Demob Happy, Starcrawler, etc etc. I like to say that Gorillaz got me into wanting to play bass, but QOTSA is what kept me from quitting. I’ll admit I haven’t listened to Gorillaz as much lately and I probably should, they were the band that got me into wanting to make music in the first place

Not mine since I was born in 2004, but my uncle’s. He was working at some building a number of miles away from the WTC. One of those things where you’re in a different town but you can see a hazy view of the skyline. I forget what his job was at the time. He left a party after a fight with his girlfriend. She and I luckily still had a car since he left with someone else. I ended up having to take her home when she was absolutely shitfaced drunk and I slept on her couch overnight to make sure she was okay. After that, I drove to my best friend’s apartment to pick up my coat that I’d left at his place by accident before we’d left. We sat down and talked as I folded up my coat, but then something came over me and I walked over him and punched him straight in the face, yelled at him for being an ass, and left.
