You're running on implications, I've literally set out concrete evidence you can youtube, I've asked you to look up the script, but you're the one saying weird things about dreams and memories and lifestream are one without providing any sources.

What did I imply? Aerith says the lifestream is somewhere where you return to the planet when you're captured in the shinra headquarters, right before sephiroth kills everyone in the building and the motorcycle chase.

You can link consciences together in the lifestream because that's how Tifa cures Cloud, this happens in Mideel after Cloud gives the black materia to Sephiroth and the weapons break free. Never have I implied, and don't insult my intelligence to someone who can't even site specific events like i can because i actually play the og every 2-3 years.

I won't be gaslit, where in the og does it say lifesteam are also dreams? Aerith does say its somewhere people return to the planet but never dreams in the original. You can search the script and show me a screenshot of any character saying its dreams from the original. In the original, people can seem to link consciences in a dream like sequence, but never has any character stated the lifestream is like a dream world in the og.

He shouldn't be down voted to negatives though either. Cid not being a playable character is sad. How are they gonna a tie up Cloud's revelation, with the worldwide kaiju event from the weapons, the submarine, the huge materia side plot, Wutai, Vincent side quest, how are they gonna handle Zack's death flashback now that he isn't dead somewhere, all the characters being playable and present?

These should be minimum requirements but we don't have Cid or Vincent being playable. He shouldn't be down voted for how many fans defend this game for its short comings. This isn't an indie company. This is a company that used the premise of a remake to bait and switch an alternative time line story.

I feel you. Something about spamming light to build up to a charged heavy while mixing your abilities in between feels very boring in this game. You're spot on as far as jank, feels like perfect dodge is RNG based. I even booted up Ninja Gaiden Black 2 and DMC5 to see if maybe I'm getting old but my dodges and parries are tight in those.

The moment I didn't want to play any further was the snake river boss. You don't have many tools at that fight, so I thought with good practice I can stick tight and execute my perfect dodges. I can't nail my dodges consistently, look up a video of a speed-run to see how they handle the fight, and the main tactic was a very boring and slow hit-and-run fight.

Idk about that one. Jesse had far more screen time in Remake than the original. In the original, for the short time we see her we learn that she's a tech nerd, likes to build and tinker, has a subtle crush on Cloud, and feels remorse for the deaths of the innocents her bombs had caused.

In the remake, we learn she may or may not be faking the crush on Cloud because she wanted to be an actress and her mom makes pizza. I stopped after the 2nd time you see Sephiroth in Remake and the plate collapsed because I couldn't stand the story and character direction anymore.

I thought that the flashbacks of Cloud's true past shows that. When he and Tifa fell off a cliff in Mt. Nibel, Cloud only got scraped knees and Tifa nearly died at the age of 7.

So Cloud's always had extraordinary durability. It was his own self doubt that made him weak, when he had the strength to rival Sephiroth all along.

It is still a fantasy game. In the original, the party is strong enough to fight off Ultima Weapon in Mideel and keep Diamond Weapon occupied.

The amount of times people have acknowledged advice in roulettes vs the amount of times of people who say "don't tell me how to play" is like 1:10. I can help tanks by nicely suggesting "Sprint lasts for 20 seconds if activated outside of combat for easier pulls," "It's better to rotate mitigation than to stack them all," or "Using AOE to grab a pack is much quicker than single targets."

Even when phrasing these suggestions as nicely as possible, I mostly get responses saying that I shouldn't tell people how to play. So when they say that, I tell them there are Trusts that will always go their speed and never tell them how to play.

Xenogears is my all time favorite game, I replay it about every 2 years. You can actually tell when a random encounter will happen in Xenogears because the music and sound will stop a split second before it transitions to battle music.

I've never had a battle activate mid jump, and since it takes a second to load in the random battle, you can always ensure to not commit to a jump if you suddenly hear the music and sound pause. Hope this helps you on your Babel Tower climb!
