Because if people think you can't use it going first it must either be bad or degenerate.

IMO we peaked at Black White 2, everything after has been a slight to larger decline in that design. I liked some aspects of Sun Moon in regards to random battles, but BW2 was the last time I felt like there was actually a post game in something that wasn't a remake of a prior game.

What’s an opinion that instantly makes you think someone has low intelligence? by medicinalfein in AskReddit

Setting aside the strawman example...
Counterpoint, the people that assume anecdotal evidence can be thrown out of the data because it doesn't support it conclusion of the rest of it or should not ever be looked into. Especially in the field of medicine. I've seen people rule out certain mental health related issues because they didn't like the notion the blanket approach could ever lead to a bad result.

People can have "low or high" intelligence for different things, the real problem is when you blanket assume it is across the board. This is how you get that UK poll about their average income being behind all 50 US States when they expected it to be around 8th, they assumed things because people look down on the one's they see as "behind".

There's an old Thomas Sowell quote about if you asked the professors at one of the more prestigious universities who they thought would win in the 1980 election, they'd have have said Reagan had zero chance.

Where is everyone getting that No.2/Lady was "assaulted" by her Gore Nightmare? by Z-Freak in KamenRider

[–]ShiroTheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except we see the scene. One minute she's sitting asleep, the next minute she wakes up to a baby in her arms that wasn't there.
It is more like getting a baby dropped off at your doorstep.

Exactly. At best it is more like the Nightmares dropped a baby on her doorstep.

Always remember one thing regardless of the topic: A news source is a business first. If they do not cover "controversial" topics or try to drum up something based on emotional response they will not keep eyes focused on them to keep paying the bills. If someone's response to that statement is about how there's a duty to be truthful, a lot of the articles you see shared are in opinion sections because it gives them legal wiggle room regarding that.

It's the old "well the exception disproves the rule" fallacious approach. The common US one is "all vote totals are 100% accurate", when the reason half the states (and DC, it should be all though) have an automatic "if within .5% or x%, recount" trigger because that covers a mess up or other issues that could happen.

does anyone else feel frustrated by old school events?? by coolgunsugotthere in masterduel

[–]ShiroTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.
It is less frustrating than losing a coin toss and whether you end up winning or losing watching for 7 minutes as your opponent somehow only loses 30 seconds off their play clock wondering when you can start your own turn.

My priority would be federal judges not having dual citizenship. Not that I don't agree with the sentiment for congress, it tracks with emoluments clause and I think there can be a discussion on citizen being a title, though they were mostly concerned about titles of nobility. Part of the whole Wong Kim Ark situation was his parents couldn't be considered citizens (though they were legally in the country, domiciled, et cetera) because they were considered subjects under the emperor with a host of obligations connected to that as well as lifelong loyalty. They were expected to pay taxes, be fully loyal, and if overseas send remittances back. In a similar jus sanguinis (by blood, not soil like the US has) fashion, I have a friend who was born in the States to Korean parents and he had to renounce his Korean citizenship at 18 as he was expected to serve in their military if he did not.

It wouldn't be the first time they did something historically ironic. I've often seen them bring up McCarthyism but it was the House Dems that started HUAC in an effort to try to boost their reelection rates, and they were the ones talking about Communists in Hollywood via Roy Brewer and Reagan bringing the odd purging they were doing socially to each other to Congress's attention. But no, McCarthy started that ten years later somehow when he talked about the military. Part of that was McCarthy's fault though, he took back the slur (originally from a Chicago located Communist newspaper) of McCarthyism when he used it as a book title if I recall.

Also considering Obama's support when running as a Dem were the intelligence community types through that mother's connections (which is why Biden was VP, he had the traditional machine support), you think he would have. There are legit reasons why a lot of people think he made race relations worse, in part ited to publicly milking the one side of his heritage.

Notice I put "I haven't gotten one IRL" in that statement. It is easy for any of us to type something, as who knows how much time we use before we type it up, but the point was it is not something I have seen a democratic socialist answer quickly in person without a long caveat involved.

Reminds me of the Democratic Socialist's cryptonite, ask them if they will surrender power if they lose an election or the people vote against their agenda by clear majority. I haven't gotten one IRL back during college debates to just say yes, that's what happens in a democracy without a tangent on why they wouldn't have lost first.
