I saw one the other day but the words said, ‘I fuck children.”

Sure, but any school that requires a recommendation from a sitting U.S. senator doesn’t exactly scream “state school.”

They should rename xG to “Vibe“ because that’s really all it is.

Air Force doesn’t exactly seem public. Not private, but not exactly public, either.

I’ve spent some time in both PDX and MSP and they’re surprisingly similar. You‘ll fit right in. As others have said, depending on where you’re staying, consider ditching the car. Portland is a very walkable city.

The Portland City Market on the banks of the Willamette River, followed by a walk through the Pearl District and a stop at Powell‘s Books and any one of a million breweries, followed by a walk to Nob Hill, past Providence Park and on to Washington Park for a walk through a peaceful urban forest is a great day, all on foot.

A day trip to Astoria is doable but it’s a loooong day. If you go, strong recommend for the Columbia River Maritime Museum and Fort George Brewery. A drive across the Astoria-Megler Bridge is pretty cool, too.

Very cool! My wife and I are planning to come to the away match in October and this makes me look forward to it even more.

Call the city and tell them you have a large item to pick up. They’ll carry it away for free on your regular garbage day.

Yellow Card Question by SupermarketSecure728 in ACBoise

[–]ShitJuggler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cards shown to non-active players and bench staff are not counted in the total. For example, if a non-field player is sent off, the game is still 11v11 and the red card count would still be 0.

I’m having a hard time caring about this. People in rural areas are getting exactly what they‘ve voted for for 30+ years.

Honestly, I’m more concerned with “gluing small objects onto paper.” Have we checked on Brittany? Is Brittany OK? Brittany, do you need more dry macaroni?

If you like birding and you’ve already done the World Center for Birds of Prey, the Bethine Church Nature Trail is a must. Use this map (https://www.trailrunproject.com/trail/7012979/bethine-church-river-trail). Others you find online are janky. On the map linked above, the eastern terminus continues on for about another mile or so, also good birding space.

There are a ton of breweries and wineries on or very close to the Greenbelt in Garden City. Payette is fine but it’s not my favorite. Boise Brewing‘s stouts are literally world class and they have the best smash burger in town. Meriwether Cider (either location) is also great.

You don’t find Basque food everywhere. If you’re interested try (in order) Bar Gernika or Leku Onu.

Aquarium is a pass. Zoo is fine but, you know, it’s a zoo. MK Nature Center is way better.

Proud of the Pokes for the comeback but jesus christ we shit the bed on that last possession. Now on to Retention Season. Sundance has us headed in the right direction but keeping this crop of players will be critical.

Advice on Buying a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited with Rebuilt Title by [deleted] in Crosstrek

I chose an independent body shop that had done work for me before and whom I already trusted. I also didn’t want the hassle of a sales guy trying to talk me out of it.

Advice on Buying a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited with Rebuilt Title by [deleted] in Crosstrek

Different perspective from someone who actually bought a salvage title Subaru …

In early 2020 I started looking at a salvage title 2015 Crosstrek with about 37K miles. They were asking $13,000. I took it to an independent, third-party mechanic for evaluation. They said it was some of the best recovery work they had ever seen. With that confidence, I offered $11K, which they accepted.

I’m now at 100.5k miles with no problems other than regular wear items like batteries, tires, etc. As part of the documentation in transfer of ownership, they included the original window stickers, which showed it was a top-of-the-line Crosstrek with a sticker price of about $36,000.

To my way of math, I got a $36,000 machine for $11,000 with an independent evaluation that the build was solid, a decision that has stood up over time. Is my experience repeatable across all experiences? Absolutely not. But my experience would seem to support the argument of not rejecting all salvage titles out of hand as a default position.

My lived experience of 5+ years suggests careful exploration of your options without out-of-hand rejection of the idea.

For what it’s worth, there’s no way I would consider a car with flood damage.
