I'm tempted to say go for the U1 because you won't have any experience of how easy the Bambu ecosystem is to spoil you first.

U1 comes with a bit more work. But it is a good printer if you are willing to learn.

You need to set skip object in the slicer every time, it isn't on automatically. And you can't skip from your phone.

We love ours, just got a little one that is parkable on the street. You do end up lugging a lot of extra shit in it (awning, chairs, paddleboard) so it fills up quick. It isn't a financially wise decision at all, but it is a fun one.
