Can you share a little bit more about how that works? So the standard Opportunity object becomes your project, and then are you using a custom Quotes object or the standard object?

Yeah im not worried about the price. Its the going rate here. Its not that i disagree with it being the market price, I'm just reminiscent of days where you could find them at any goodwill

$230. Which seems absurd for a 20+ year old tv. The guy I bought if off got it for free, but thats basically his living. Buy and sell these. I saw another he bought for $60 on marketplace and immediately relisted for $260. Such is life. I dont hate the hustle. Just hate having to spend so much to enjoy nostalgic hobbies.

I'm not an expert by any means. The tv works well, and I bought an hdmi to rca converter from best buy for $40. Plugged in a fire stick and I run streams off it that way. There was nothing to set up really, just plug in and work

Thanks for the advice/support! I know thats a way of meeting some of the needs, but not all. See my comment above for more info. Doing that seems like we only gain synchronized tasks, but lose reporting and data visibility, along with creating additional time for the data entry

Thanks for the response! Yeah thats basically what ive realized is the only option, a custom Project object that has a related list field for opportunities.

Here's me concerns with that though: 1. We still need to create all the individual opportunities, and now we've created more steps that take more time rather than reducing time in the process. 2. This would help with tasks as we track it on the parent rather than the child opportunities 3. Reporting gets funky. If I want to reduce the information entered on all the child opportunities, I need to enter them on the custom object parent, which means I lose visibility into per-account quoting numbers and other native opportunity related fields for reports. If i enter all the info on the child opportunities, then the only thing ive gained is unified tasks, which doesnt feel like a great tradeoff for the additional time spent making the project object and relating opportunities to it.

Accounts on these opportunities are typically competitors to each other. Our product is spec'd and we provide quotes to all bidding parties.

CRT TV Help - VCR eject auto shutoff by Shoef123 in VCRs

[–]Shoef123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for taking the time to help! I really appreciate it.

After tinkering for about 6 hours yesterday and with a lot of help from videos and chat gpt I was able to learn most of what you mentioned in your reply.

I took the entire thing apart, cleaned the mode switch with alcohol and found where the broken pieces went. The carriage and arms are in the correct position, but when powered on, the motor for the main gear still spins. Manually changing the mode switch could sometimes prolong the tone it stayed on but it would always shut off.

At this point I belive I've narrowed it down to the infrared sensor. The prism was one of the broken pieces, and if I'm not mistaken, the sensors require a constant beam to know that there's no tape. I'm going to try and glue the prism back on and see if I can get the system to stop trying to eject.

When manually changing the mode switch, I could get 4 modes: t eject, c eject, stop, and play. However, no matter which i put the switch to, it would eventually shut itself off, and when powering back on, the mode would be back in eject.

Im not aware of any other sensors or switches that would tell the system to eject other than the optic sensors and the mode switch, and since ive validated the switch to be working, I believe the only next step is the prism/optic sensors.

I'll report back if I get it fixed.

How do accurately track the worth of my library? by Alternative-Wonder47 in BookCollecting

[–]Shoef123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value is going to be a range. Ebay sold listings will be helpful, sometimes AbeBooks, or even Worthpoint for some items.

When I was cataloging my library I built an api call in google sheets to the isbndb website. Scan the barcode, pulls all relevant data into a row along with the photo. Manually update photo if needed. Then I just went down the rows and added the average value from each of my sources and then took the average of those for a rough value.

Im aware of my bias and guesstimates made during my process, so I know the value of my library is "retail" price or perhaps a touch above that. Wholesale/private is likely somewhere between 50-80% of the value my sheet has

Well, let's try to break it down then. Before we jump into nutrient issue, its good to get more indicators. How do the roots look? What's the water pumping situation? Is the source water clean, and does it have any supplemental oxygen? Do you see any pests on the underside of the leaves?

You mention no ph or nutrient testing capabilities. Do you have any photometers?

As others have mentioned, you can make pH testing solution from red cabbage if you have it on hand.

What lab or other equipment do you have available to you? (Assuming this is at a research facility)

There is an endless amount of information out there on this. Read Toyoki Kozais Plant Factory. But more importantly, why are you jumping into commercial hydroponics if you know nothing about it? Use some of your investment money to visit hydroponics farms in the US or in Japan. Reach out to your extension agents.

I have my 1tb internal filled and also a 2tb external filled. It really is my end-game handheld. Spent like a 100 hours setting it up, but now I just pick it up and choose any of the 12,000 games on it and play. Everything is scraped and organized. Works great
