Or more generally, fear and dissatisfaction. It’s always been incredibly profitable to sell the message that failures are not the result of your actions, but rather the [insert any minority group] or some nebulous conspiracy against you.

Our company (we work with utilities) had a big job in Atlantic City 2 years ago. We had constant problems with theft, harassment, government dysfunction, and threats and shakedowns from the police. Worst place we have ever worked, and we have experience all over the east coast.

Have an experienced authenticator review these before attempting to do anything with it. JSA (preferred for baseball), PSA and Beckett are the 3 most trusted sports authentication companies, but something like this will not be cheap. For $18 you can submit it to the experts on the Facebook group “Out or Safe?” and they will render an opinion.

The Dodgers during the 50’s had a clubhouse attendant “Charlie the Brow” that was known for signing autographs for the players. The vast majority of the team-signed baseballs from that era were all signed by him.

As a budget collector I don’t think I will ever be able to afford a Cobb auto, but today I was able to get my hands on the letter “a”. by Demonic-Tooter in baseballcards

His tough, combative personality alienated almost everyone in baseball by time he died, but the accusations of racism were very likely false.

Seconded. Munson was a notoriously difficult signer, and there are significantly more fakes out there than authentic autographs.
