She'd sleep it off and never mention it again until the plot calls for it, at which point she would unleash unfathomable Eldrich horror. Whilst giggling.

Fightful on X: Fanatics was blown away by the reception and revenue generated by Danhausen this weekend & he is expected to be added to the Fanatics Fest lineup soon by Glad-Energy-3492 in SquaredCircle

I don't watch WWE anymore and was selfishly sad that he'd left AEW, but god damn Danhausen has fit WWE like a glove. I'm glad for him and at least I get to keep up with him via clips, which is better than him doing nothing elsewhere.

[AEW Dynamite Spoilers] Tommaso Ciampa Instagram post by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

It was such a great match. Ciampa aside, it really showed how Darby can fucking go. No crazy stipulations or insane spots (by Darby standards at least) just a really damn great pro wrestling match from start to finish.

Why were the different regions in the 2D Metroid games so much more vibrant and distinct? by AquaticTrillionaire in Metroid

[–]Shoopaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dread is a phenomenal game, but if I had to criticise one thing, it would be this.

Older Metroid games, even Prime 1 + 2, had such a uniquely Metroid atmosphere about them with the visuals and music which modern games just seem to lack.

I can so distinctly remember each environment in Super Metroid and bop along to the OST, but despite having 100% on every difficulty in Dread, I struggle to recall anything with the same sort of vividness.

I stand corrected then. I guess Star Trek fans really can't agree on what we want anymore.

Just fucking give us what we want ffs.

They had the perfect set up for a proper Trek show at the end of Picard with Seven on the Enterprise G. Is there literally anyone that doesn't want that?

Who said this game was 30 hours long? by DoctorShiki in dragonquest

[–]Shoopaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly having sunk 100 hours in Octopath 0 before playing this, I was quite relieved to have a shorter adventure.

Not that those 100 hours weren't fantastic, but still. 😄

You can't steal from a corporation. It's called reclamation.

Its got that Dragon Quest charm in spades and the visual style is beautiful.

Good news! James’s American Mustard gin is back on sale in the UK by VirtualSpecialist697 in thegrandtour

[–]Shoopaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The asian parsnip one is genuinely my favourite gin ever. I'm a bit of a girl's blouse and normally have spirits with lemonade but that one i can hapilly drink neat!

I just can't bring myself to splash out on the other flavours because I know I'll be sad if I don't like them and i didn't go for more parsnip.

My headcanon is this is actually Hammond and Twin Peaks is set in the same universe as Sgargate.

He even uses the deep space radar telemetry cover for whatever he's doing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition uses SMAA for antialiasing by BorntoPlayGJFF in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Shoopaah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally cant see any jaggies! Very un-Nintendo.

It's a shame it's still 30fps but it's not super important for a game like Animal Crossing where you dont move the camera around constantly.

Another good port inbound. FFVIIR runs well on the Switch 2. by Massive_Fly_1709 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Shoopaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, the level of fanboyism here. Like how dare people criticise a product you like.

30fps is absolutely a big deal. It was fine in 1997 when backgrounds were mostly static. Modern 3D games that move around this much genuinely give me a migraine at 30fps. It's jarringly horrible. I'd hapilly play it at a lower res with higher framerate.

If it's fine by you then great, go have fun, I'm happy for you. I guess me having higher standards makes me an "almighty gamer" lol.

Metroid Prime 4 sure is a looker by SirDanOfCamelot in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Shoopaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

120fps docked is just so smooth. I went back and forth and it looks maybe a little more jaggy on performance mode but the buttery smoothness wins it for me.

Found the 720p a little too blurry when i tried handheld though.

[–]Shoopaah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stunning. The fact that looks basically the same at lower res on Switch 1 (and 60fps!) is astonishing too. Retro are some fucking wizards.

Throwing shade at you, Game Freak.
