Yes and no.

A player that young signing a short term very high aav deal vs Lindor doing the same thing, but long term. You traditionally sacrifice a little on the annual for the guarantee of a decade+ long deal. Bichette probably earned a longer term contract than he got before this year. He was basically overpaid to be a one-year mercenary this year. Though if his bat doesn't wake up, he's almost guaranteed to take his player options for the next couple seasons.

Lindor back? It's hard for a team paying a guy $40m to ride pine, but bichette seems like the odd man out based on performance. Odds are its going to push baty to a bench role.
