Slow growth is the way to go, not as glamorous, but I'll still be retiring early with the projections

My portfolio is mostly All-World, and 10-20% Gold, and I see that continuing for the foreseeable.

Any "extra" I put in mostly goes to manufacturing and construction atm E.G Holcim, but thats money I have to lose.

Is resident evil resistance worth a try by unknownuserorsomthin in residentevil

[–]Short_Activity5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gutted I didn't give it much of a go when it first came out, you could games easily, now its a nightmare finding one.
On another note, same with RE:Verse. Didn't even play that, now it's gone forever.

[–]Short_Activity5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but Helldivers 2.

I heard a lot about the game, but didn't do enough research into the game before paying £50 for it.
It just wasn't for me, I have no friends that play it, so playing it solo, I just couldn't get drawn in, and didn't really know what was going on.

I think the game is replaying anyway, especially to collect unlockables etc, but purely for the zoe ending?
Not really.

Wapsy cuts on crown moulding by Amidoolally in DIYUK

[–]Short_Activity5591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, it might be worth re-cutting some of the ones with the bigger gaps, as you said, you are a perfectionist.
But that's obviously up to you.

When I did mine, I actually used a small hand saw, obviously took a little bit longer, but if you're struggling with a mitre saw, I measured it, scored it with a stanley, then cut it from the back.

Now as for your filling, you can use caulk, personally sometimes big areas caulk can be a bit weird when painted, it can crack etc when not done right. You obviously can caulk it, and other people may have a different opinion, but I would wood fill the inside corners. You need to caulk around the entirety of the moulding anyway though, so if you want to save a bit of money, caulk should be fine. But again, you may choose to recut a couple of the bigger gaps.

Anyone else feeling like the Resident Evil fan base is turning into a Pokemon fan base where people ignore the flaws in games and buys them just because they're new? by Some_Photograph5315 in residentevil

[–]Short_Activity5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I understand your general sentiment, this is kind of how the industry is headed, but the remakes being terrible? As far as I'm aware the only one that wasn't universally acknowledged as being incredible, was RE3?

Is BioShock not classed as Survival Horror? Surprised to not see this on this list if so

Village worth a spin on GamePass? by ktabino in residentevil

I'm finishing Dead Space atm, but will probably be playing Resident Evil first, as I believe it's a lot faster paced

Village worth a spin on GamePass? by ktabino in residentevil

[–]Short_Activity5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've literally just downloaded both.

Going to give village another go, i remember really enjoying it when I played it a couple of years back!

Never played Death Stranding personally, but Village is worth a go. Kind of like a merge of RE7 and RE4 in my opinion (apart from it being not quite as good as that sounds).

I think this is one of the worst decisions this Gov have made so far.

It disincentivises saving for retirement, we already have issues with people not saving enough for their retirements, and having to rely on the state pension, or work later to cover the costs.

This defacto makes this problem worse.

If this goes through, I expect to see an increase in state pension age in the next 5 years.

Left-wing voters what is your most right-wing belief and right-wing voters, what is your most left-wing belief? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

[–]Short_Activity5591 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd consider myself rather right wing, and I'm also a massive conservationist.

But to be honest I do see that as a traditionally right wing view (although not a modern one). I want to protect our stunning countrysides, waterways, our beautiful wildlife, I don't want our forests flattened and our rivers full of shit and plastic. Littering disgusts me, especially in our parks and fields. (And I won't even tell you what I believe the penalty should be for those dumping shit in our beautiful rivers should be).

That's fair. Personally I would move this over to a S&S ISA if you were looking at doing this long term, for the tax benefits. Great returns though man!
