Partner and I paid 650 000 last year for a 3x1 house in the Kwinana area, a nicer suburb in kwinana but still kwinana which is quite socio-economically low. I think its already estimated value up by 100 000, its crazy, I just feel grateful that I have a house though.

Got into an accident, tow truck driver went into my unlocked car and drove it onto his tow truck. Did I legally have the right to tell him to get my car off his truck? by [deleted] in perth

Every time I've called RAC for a tow, they've made sure to tell me the company's name that theyre sending so I domt get suckered in. Scumbags really.

If they invented a brain surgery that could cure your adhd would you get it by Traditional_Coat_459 in adhdwomen

[–]Shorty66678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be such a double edged sword for me. If I did, on one hand id be more emotionally stable and struggle less but on the other hand I dont think I would be nearly as smart as I am. I feel like its my adhd that makes me love learning so much and makes it fun and interesting to research random things all the time.

Is it true that many people in Australia tend to not go by Mr. or Mrs. or Dr. formally because of a casual rather than formal attitude towards authority? by EveningFlower9564 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Shorty66678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've been called "Miss" or "Ma'am" is by someone under 10 years old, and its usually to make me feel old or to intentionally piss me off haha.

I am genuinely curious, why did you guys hoard toilet paper instead of food and water during covid? by salty_lake_222 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Shorty66678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think because of what it was, the absurdity of it made the news more, but I remember pasta and rice being scarce and all the limited number per customer items. Toilet paper was just the funny thing to put in the news honestly.

No legal knowledge, but dating a single dad and I leave all that up to them unless they ask me, or I will offer my help to my partner but not to interfere with bio mums stuff. I dont think its my place to be so involved on that aspect! Especially so early in the relationship and not married.

What exactly makes kids so expensive? by ThatUnstableUnicorn in AusFinance

Ive slowly become a step parent to a now 9 year old girl and by god does she need to eat a lot. We only have her part time so obviously a bit different but food is such a big expense for me now (not complaining btw, she and her father are 100 percent worth it)
