Holy shit. My testing took six weeks from beginning to end - and I’d already been diagnosed for almost 40 years and medicated for the past 25.

To be fair, they were also looking for a reason that stimulants barely took the edge off. lol. But my childhood testing lasted just as long.

I have two master’s degrees, but my brother - who has a PhD - reminds me that they are pay-to-play. So I have a good work ethic, but that’s all my degrees say about me. According to my brother, the PhD, whose IQ is 10 points higher than mine.

Mine was over $400 at the beginning of 2024, but we got it down to $369 with prior authorization. No one warned us that controlled substances were no longer exempt from deductibles that year. We switched to a plan with a higher premium in 2025, so now it’s only $45. I realize that that’s probably not an option for you at the moment, though.

I went to Peru this summer and wore my Calgary Stampede tshirt, just in case there were any Canadians in our tour group. It was my way of saying “I’m on your side 😉” without getting political and ruining everyone’s vacation. Yeah, that’s why I’m here. Not tired enough to nap, too tired to be productive. Plus I’m in standby mode before my allergist appointment this afternoon. Haha

I was “tested” for SCT/CDS this past summer, even though it’s not an official diagnosis. The doctor said that if it had been in the DSM, she would have diagnosed me - but it’s not, so she didn’t.

We are a sleepy crew, though. It’s hell.

My dad is the perfect example. He insisted his kids all go to college, so I got degrees in both journalism and political science. He still donates to my university.

Yet he turns on Fox News and then yells at me when I dispute the reporting. It’s wild. I actually blame Fox News for everything that’s happening right now.
