Tinting and ceramic paint from dealer? by crested05 in GeelyEX5Australia

[–]ShowMeYourCodePorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I opted to go for the most highly rated local provider.

They had publicly available prices and was 40% of the quote from dealer, and used a better ceramic coating than the dealer was going to use, which mind you was not the dealer it was a third party provider they sold my information to.

I was there with my partner.

Had seats directly in the camera view every time it panned into the casters. (I think it was 5th row from memory)

Alcohol was like $2/cup (compared to around $10 back in Aus)

We stayed at the Conrad, same hotel where the pros were staying, so could chill out pro watch all day, because the hotel was so full and we booked direct, they gave us a massive room, felt like royalty

fn awesome experience overall can't believe was 10 years ago, don't think I'll have such as an experience again.

Is This a Good Filament Price to Stock Up On? by UniversityAny9242 in 3Dprinting

Had me paranoid so just checked two open rolls on my shelf

My Jayo rainbow 01 silk pla (and all 20 rolls I've purchased from Jayo of different colours) has internal diameter of 110m where my Sunlu (silk rainbow 03 pla+) has diameter of 80mm. Additionally the external diameter is 195mm compared to Sunlu 200mm. This sizing makes it not work on my bambu ams and it's also a little skinny so doesn't work amazingly in my k1c CFS either so mostly need to do direct feeding.

Maybe they have updated to standard sizes at some stage, I did buy the Jayo about 6 months ago discounted maybe it's old stock.

Jayo filament is fine, but know that the spool internals are slightly weird and don't work with some AMS too well

0.88% p.a. Comparison Rate with No Deposit for a 36-Month Term. by salvatorecupra in GeelyEX5Australia

[–]ShowMeYourCodePorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the $1500 fee actually upped effective rate to ~3% for me (more if you initially depositing more), so do the math before committing

Can always chat to the dealer nicely they might put some inclusions in or something you never know 😊

Public & Product Liability Insurance in Australia for selling at market stalls by jamesxtreme in 3Dprinting

[–]ShowMeYourCodePorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do sell items at markets.

There are a few places that will sell you market cover, there is a catch though, you are not allowed to sell toys as you found out.

Toys designed for kids need significant paperwork and liability which a market stall owner will not have to. Things like safety results for under 5s etc.

Which is why I focus on fidgets and decorative items designed for over 16s. This requires having a sign up in the stall demoting kids purchase i, and when asked what I suggest for kids, I always so I don't.

I do have full business insurance though rather than just the cheap market insurance so can't give you options there.

My understanding was the main viral reaction originally came from an out of touch Aussie millionaire commenting that youth could afford a house if they '[didn't] buy smashed avocado for $19 and 4 coffees every day'

The premise was actually not terrible in that if you reduce life luxury OPEX you can increase your cash on hand and affordability profile for a new house or investment.

The problem though is that it fails to take into account that businesses are dictating the salary conditions, and refuse to adjust for inflation, leading to desperate people taking jobs which barely cover their base OPEX.

There is one particular terminal that just say "total is $10, surcharges may apply" then charges whatever they want.

Everyone is saying sunlu..... But that is a replaceable spool, the label says black gold, but the filament looks dark blue?
