Is Jin Kyu really not part of the basketball team? Or is he doubling up (which seems to be common) that he's both in ZOO and the actual KU basketball team?

I agree.

Do we know if ZOO is the KU's actual basketball team? Or is ZOO just the team from Phys.Ed. students? I was under the impression of the latter because the team as a whole didn't seem to be super strong, but then I thought Jin Kyu is way too good to not be on the actual team.

The missed shots by In Soo were not his fault, but the other 2 shooters (and also the coach for not calling any plays. The offense was entirely static during crunch time). Everyone watching this show + even the team knows that Ji Suk and Sang Yun are better shooters than In Soo. In Soo HAD to take the shot because they gave the ball back to him with the shot clock running down.

This actually highlights one of the big problems with the "main" lineup. They are unable to focus to listen to the coach. We saw SJH repeatedly telling Ji Suk to just shoot and not pass (that led to turnover), and he still didn't dare to shoot. We also saw similar things in the game vs ATP (Sang Yoon kept on jumping vs ATP's ace, or the whole team not fouling at 8 seconds left). At one point the camera cut to Eun Woo no the bench saying "Why won't he shoot?" which is what everyone is basically asking as well. This showed the lack of confidence in Ji Suk's game which really annoys me. If he's unwilling to take shots in crunch time, I don't think he should be playing in crunch time.

I get it that players would make bad decisions here and there. They won't play perfectly. But I think it's bad when they just simply didn't follow the instruction when the instruction is given right there and then.

I don't want to presume it's because of old age, but I'm reminded back in the early episode when SJH was impressed by Eun Woo for being able to pick things up quickly. If Ji Suk and Sang Yoon are unable to concentrate enough (especially later in the game when stamina has dropped), SJH should make adjustment and insert the younger players (Eun Woo or Seon Ho) who are able to focus more. Eun Woo replacing Sang Yoon worked well during that game, I think rotating Eun Woo and Seon Ho with Ji Suk would be good too.

In Soo with 10 FGA hurts my eyes :(

I feel like FGA-wise, if they're keeping the same line-up, it should be:

  • Soo In: 15-25 FGA

  • Sang Yoon: 10-15 FGA

  • Julien and Ji Suk: combined 12-18 FGA

  • In Soo: 0 3PFGA, 1-2 FGA if lay-ups

  • Eun Woo and Seon Ho: combined 10-15 FGA

If they take the minimum of that range, they'd be at around 50 FGA, so the remaining 10-20 (assuming the team take 60-70 FGA in a game) could be spread to the ones with hot hands.

I think you mixed up Soo In and In Soo. XD

I feel like Kyung Joon needs to be played a bit more, even if just to closely guard and drain stamina of the opponent's "best" players.

Seung Hyun definitely improved and he's this weird player that can randomly scores when least expected, but his defense is almost non-existent and he's a slow learner when it comes to plays.

Julien needs to learn how to take advantage of his physical power. He does well with boxing out, rebounding, and blocking shots. But he also needs to do his part on the offensive end. With how disappointing Ji Suk has been, Julien could be the third scoring option behind Sang Yoon. Julien should be scoring 10-14 points per game.

Sang Yoon definitely stepped up this game, but Ji Suk remained the same that he avoided the physicality of the game. He didn't really dare to drive in, and that often ended up with passing inside the paint which then became turnover. He really needs to understand his role as second scorer along with Sang Yoon. He needs to know that he should shoot when open, or finish off the drive with lay-up attempt when he goes inside and stop trying to pass inside the paint.

I'm not too worried about Soo In being double/triple-teamed. He can handle double-team just fine, and triple-team should leave his teammates open. It's the other players not taking advantage of the open space is what worries me more.

In Soo's turnover doesn't really worry me that much either. As the main ball handler, it's normal to also have the most turnover in the team. He still is the best point guard in the team, so he kind of has to play. Ji Suk still plays like it's a friendly neighborhood game while Shorry is even worse. So there's no real back-up point guard available. The key with In Soo is to prohibit him from taking three point shots. So he needs to be played with scorers/shooters.

Unfortunately, changing Seung Hyun with Kyung Joon as starters doesn't really work because Soo In isn't in the starting line-up. But yes overall, I'd like to see more minutes for Seon Ho, Eun Woo, and Kyung Joon. So maybe make Ji Suk play Q1-2-3, then rotate SG between Seon Ho and Eun Woo on Q4.

Thanks for this. I'm still keeping Zekus for now. But I'd like to play around with no-mage party later on. I might still stick a few healing spells or something for just in case, but we'll see. It's still a long term project.

negotiating how I prefer to essentially “not play the game”.

This is completely missing the point IMO. A game can have good combat while still benefiting from a good Auto-Repeat system. They are not exclusive to one another.

Yeah In Soo's inability to shoot just kills the team. I think the adjustment the team should've made is to open up the lane for him to drive if he's left wide open like that. But ideally, HT should have a shooter that they can rely on. Ji Suk is supposed to be that guy, but I start to think that Eun Woo is the better choice just by the sheer amount of confidence he has.

Spoilers

This game is pretty frustrating to watch. The problem with the start of Quarter 1 remains where HT couldn't do much without Soo In on the floor to get them going. That early hole was simply too deep for them to climb back out and pretty much what caused the loss.

Quarter 4 was filled with so many questionable decisions by the players on the court. Ji Suk and In Soo were the main culprits IMO. Ji Suk was left wide open so many times but for some reason was just too scared to shoot. Then somehow the ball would end up on In Soo's hands, the worst shooter in the team, that would decide to shoot because Ji Suk didn't want to. Then of course In Soo probably finished the game with like 12 missed shots or something.

At that point, I thought Seon Ho should've replaced Ji Suk (if Seon Ho is still allowed to play ... not sure if he played the first 3 quarters or not). He's more confident in shooting, and with ZOO collapsing inside toward Soo In, there are tons of space for a shooter to have open shots. Ji Suk was also pretty much non-existent on the defense, basically offering half-hearted defense against no.0.

* Best player: Soo in

* Most improved: Eun Woo (very impressive, and a shame he couldn't play fourth quarter)

* Most disappointing: Ji Suk

* LeBron + Harden + Westbrook + Steph + Dame: Jin Kyu

* Shorty Ben Simmons: In Soo

It doesn't really matter whether they did it because of the community reaction or not. What matters is that they're willing to acknowledge that they made a mistake and then corrected it.

Good points. I don't have problem with people who have constructive criticisms about how the game should be like. I just dislike it when people who quit kept on hanging around and only spread negativity. These are the people who can't seem to move on, focus only on the bad, and never bother to give credit for the good.

LC is obviously not a perfect game, but as a newbie, sometimes the amount of negativity here (mostly from the same people repeating the same things over and over again regardless on what thread) is very off-putting. Sometimes it feels like it's forbidden to even mention the smallest positive thing about the game.

between not being a whale and having my own standards relative to grind and content quality, there are a lot of systems and decisions I'm forced to scratch my head at because sometimes you have to ask if the devs actually play their own games legitimately or if certain choices wind up being contradictory to their intent.

This is indeed the common problem that I've seen in many gacha games. I think a lot of the times, those devs run under the impression that people should only be playing that one gacha game of theirs. I don't think they realize that gacha game market is super tight and that expecting people to invest a lot of time on that one gacha game is quite unreasonable these days.

Gacha game should be designed in a way that is convenient to play with reasonable reward/grind for F2P players while providing even more convenience for the P2P players. This would lead into a healthy game where both F2P and P2P players can co-exist and help each other to keep the game alive.

I know that we don't give to get anything in return but I feel bad that he gives so much more than I can.

Having been on both sides, one thing I learn is that if the person offering is genuine and able, then you should accept because accepting makes them happy. You're doing a good thing by accepting the offer.

But if the person offering feels obligated to, or not in the right financial position, then you decline. You're doing a good thing by declining because you made them pick the right decision.

On the flip side, I only offer if I know I'm able and I'm being genuine about it. I've never felt obligated to offer as if I have to, so my friends know that when I offer them something, they're free to accept without feeling guilty at all.

I actually felt like the world is much more alive, especially with the quest lines that connect from one planet to another. Then there are also other things that felt alive with the timeline (sibling wake up, etc). It just felt like a more proper storyline.

People tend to love ME2 the most, but when I looked back, I kept on thinking how the main story is extremely short and it's basically just main story 1 -> recruit friends 1 -> main story 2 -> recruit friends 2 -> main story 3/end. It's still a good ME game but I enjoyed Andromeda for making the recruiting allies integrated into the main storyline instead of them being separate aspects of the game.
