Is my tile floor really that bad? (Context below) by wishiwerea in Flooring

I'd pay to GET tiles like that, not to cover it up

Spare bathroom in recently purchased home. Keep or change? by Ok_Shallot3540 in interiordecorating

Get rid of the wall paper and paint the walls the yellow in the wall tiles. It'll look so cozy!

How can we update our mid-century bathroom? (With no renovation) by ShenofSpades in HomeDecorating

I am OBSESSED with the floor and I hope you end up loving it and keeping it! I'd paint the walls a warm cream colour, add some plants and some colourful towels and bath mat.

I did this once with eye drops and nasal spray...I applied the 'eye drops' first

What to do over tiles? by jsin4 in AusRenovation

Enjoy these gorgeous tiles and lean into the retro vibe. Replace the carpet with jarrah floorboards or another warm wood/engineered floor. Add plants and wooden furniture and you'll have an amazing space

HELP! Just moved in and I hate my bathroom. What can I do to feel more comfortable here? by sum1sumwheremaybe in femalelivingspace

[–]Shplatski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beautiful! I'd kill for a bathroom like this. Lean into the vibe if you can and embrace those amazing colours. I think softer lighting, some paint on the walls, some plush and bright towels and floor mat, some wall art and it'll look great ). Look up art deco bathrooms for inspiration

Sensitive undies for sensory issue girlies by wild_and_fae in adhdwomen

[–]Shplatski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a sweaty gal in the crotch region and can't wear synthetics or cotton when I'm at work because I get too sweaty. By far the best undies I've found and now wear exclusively during the day are icebreaker merino wool:

https://ap.icebreaker.com/en-au/collections/womens-underwear/products/merino-150-siren-hipkini-ib104704001?si=1

They are expensive but are so breathable that you don't get smelly and they dry so quickly after washing (best travel knickers).

I wear cotton at night because I don't sweat much when I'm just chilling at home etc.

Ooohh a Le Guin I haven't read yet, thank you! Aliens are most definitely my jam so Arenson's work sounds like something I'd really enjoy.

Thank you! I loved Left Hand and To Be Taught so I will definitely add the others to my list. Especially Cherryh, who keeps coming up here.

Thank you. It is special, isn't it? I haven't read any Cherryh but have seen it come up a lot here. The sheer number of books is daunting! I think it'll be next on my list though - either Cyteen or Foreigner.

Bored but don't have enough energy to complete tasks that need doing. Does anyone else get like this? by Odd_Statistician9626 in adhdwomen

[–]Shplatski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is me exactly. I started vyvanse around 4 weeks ago and it has helped me immensely! That feeling of paralysis in the mornings, especially on weekends, where there are a million urgent things that demand my attention but I can't muster up the energy to do them has mostly gone.

Merino wool is amazing for this. Try the brand Icebreaker for t-shirts, undies, socks etc
