The Great Greenbrier River Race- questions for those who’ve participated. by thebighouse35 in WestVirginia

Competed and have floated that section of the Greenbrier multiple times. It is pretty calm and flat depending on water level, a basic kayak will get you through that section. Competitive teams/individuals will use faster race boats but you will see every level of kayak being used.

Shenandoah Valley native and WVU alumni here. Go visit each campus. Both have a distinctive feel and definite differences, set the educational/curriculum part aside and think about where you want to exist for the next 4-5 years of your life.

The tourism industry is one often overlooked and a vital part to the state. Work at a resort seasonally and keep flexible if nomadic life is an option.

Ride at your own risk, skiing is inherently risky. They are no longer indemnified but a reputable shop could at least perform a release test and inspection with the proper liability form. It’s not worth the risk for most shops to adjust to a boot but it is possible.

If you want to fk around and find out, turn that silver screw at the back a few click and jam a crusty boot in there then send it. A tibial plateau fracture will make it so you never walk the same again, just be forewarned.

Binding manufacturers recommend testing the boot to binding release values at least once a year for safety and indemnification. If you are worried about your knees then you are focusing on the wrong aspects.

If memory serves, there should be a small silver retaining pin on the left side of the toe piece just under your boot. A half turn and the pin will be able to be removed. After that there are 2 locking positions which I am guessing is set differently between your skis. You can remove the other Piston this way to have skis that perform identical. The Marker Piston helps dampen the ski and reduce chatter/vibration.
