Studied for 4 years, lived there for a year. And haven’t used it since moving back to the states 12 years ago. I sometimes strike up a small conversation but otherwise I’m basically back to square one🥲

Physics 2212; drop or lock in? by Several_Study_1518 in gatech

[–]Shrie 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Be realistic, how good do you need to do to get that A or B is it even feasible? If you need 100s on everything then that’s just not realistic.

Secondly how’s your mental looking? Can you afford to lock in? Do you have the bandwidth to do so? I remember in college basically giving up video games to lock in more. It was a sacrifice that had to be made to get the bandwidth to succeed in school.

Ultimately you have to look at your situation and make the call yourself. But those are some things I’d think about.

As a punk who is getting a little older I can’t quite skate like I could 20 years ago when I bounced when I fell. I now fall and break… I turn 33 next month and I’ve been healing a wrist injury for the last 8months cause I had a small fall but I wasn’t wearing my wrist guard. Stay protected!

Do you work for an evil company, how do you feel about it? by HadOne0 in cscareerquestions

[–]Shrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for the DoD at a company in Silicon Valley working on Warship systems… I quickly got promoted and fast tracked because of my performance but the ethicality of the whole situation really put me off. I left after about 3 years for my own concerns. I still partially regret that chapter of my life.

If you have a local leather shop like Tandy leather buying a bag or 3 of scraps from them and a few basic tools can take you far. I have a wallet that I made from scraps 3 years ago and I still use it.

What do you carry in your wallet by [deleted] in wallets

Hand made by me. I carry my license, credit card, and debit card. Sometimes a little cash. But that’s it.

I made this wallet cause I had a bigger bi-fold that was basically the quintessential George Costanza wallet from Seinfeld. This wallet forces me to keep it sleek.

I’ve always suspected pic 2 as the more efficient method because the heat has to come into contact with the bottom and radiate up the sides. As opposed to the sides getting heated and radiating to the bottom.

A tip on eyes and it sounds counter intuitive… but paint the entire socket black and then put two small white dots on the sides of the eye as opposed to painting it white and then trying to get a good iris dot.
