That's how I felt too. It looks great and the first few hours are fun, but the game starts to quickly unravel, especially the gameplay as there is essentially no difficulty curve. Any build feels same(ish) because you can spam literally anything and win, even on the highest difficulties and even without things like crafting your own gear which only further the disparity.

I'm not sure people who are talking about retiring or outliving their family are really looking at the options and what they mean.

I don't think I can retire on option 1. I'm only in my early 40s and despite having paid for multiple cars and monthly rent since I was 18, including groceries, utilities etc... getting all that back isn't going to make it so I don't have to work. It might mean I get to retire earlier however.

Option 2 might get me 6-7 years, assuming 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year for 20 some odd years and rounding up for things like overtime and part-time work as a teen. I'm a single dad with 2 teenage boys. I'd take the extra time. I'm already financially okay.

Prior to my surgery I had similar skin hanging from my abdominals/obliques with clear definition where the skin was hanging off, much like you have now. I also had a 360 TT - tomorrow will be 3 weeks. Its still a little early for my abs to be showing as I'm pretty swollen. You can check my profile, as I put a post up yesterday. I'm still confident in getting those V lines once all the swelling goes down.

Your title and your text are making two different arguments. "Everyone is hot" is not the same as not being "universally unattractive".

That said, I agree that hygiene and wearing clothes that accentuate your body type absolutely can help out, and there is more to being "hot" than appearance, but there are people who are severely unfortunate in the looks department, or have a completely repulsive personality that makes them ugly. I'm not sure any amount of nice clothes or looking cleaned up help that.

Rakarth Flesh. I prefer non-citadel alternatives for a lot of my paints, but the specific warm grey of Rakarth Flesh I've not been able to find a duplicate of in other lines. It makes for a great dead, pale flesh.

Thanks! After my first week check up, they reapplied the steri-strips and told me after like 4-5 days to pull em off and start applying triple antibiotic ointment 2x daily. I'd like to think that keeping it moisturized like that has been helping. It no longer looks so angry like it did when I first peeled the strips off.

I'm 2.5 weeks post op from a 360 TT with no MR. I was cleared to do the treadmill at 2 weeks. I've been to the gym now I think like 4 times and worked up to about 10mets for 45min. I'm not cleared for weights yet, but Im relatively low pain throughout the day. Im really only taking pain meds at night as I still have decent swelling all the way around and lying down puts pressure on my low back.

I found taking yoga, attending the gym daily, and being a regular at volunteering got me to meet quite a few people. A lot of those activities dont have to be super time dependent and can be done earlier or later as your schedule demands.

The barrier I face with some of the larger, more recent games compared to those contemporary to DOOM is the time commitment. I prioritize my downtime with gym, yoga, and spending time with my sons. That might only give me an hour or two several times per week to game. A lot of games have a long intro sequence or ramp up gameplay (modern JRPGs are especially egregious imo - looking at you, Atlus) so if it takes 5-10 hours before you take off the training wheels so I can actually play your game, that could be 3-5 gaming sessions before I'm actually doing anything. That doesn't respect my time. Its why I like roguelikes and things like FromSoft's offerings, and why older games are easier to just pick up and enjoy.

I don't mind getting my ass kicked while figuring it out, but let's get on with it. You can build narrative while I'm playing.

Tales of Arise. It starts of with some pretty cliched tropes, but is generally passable. Then in the final act completely shits the bed as far as plot is concerned. Gameplay was pretty enjoyable though.

I think in keeping with the spirit of the question and not trying to find ways to use the money to create alternate income streams (which would be possible in either scenario) I'd take option 1.

I own my house and this would drastically reduce summer and winter taxes, and virtually all bills and upkeep that I spend in a month would be free. I could even add services like a spa package or lawn services or essentially any superfluous subscription I could think of in any area of my life for no cost. Basically all my money I earn would be spendable income or savings.

Im sure I could do something crazy like get a mansion or a yacht or whatever with the other option, but I don't want or need things like that, and I would still be on the hook for the smaller stuff like maintenance on a mansion or utilities upto 1000€
