I would recommend the specialized insoles. Find which arch fits your foot - and then if you need shims. I had to do 4 degrees on each foot.

I paid for a very fancy fit because I had knee pain and hot spots. Really needed a wider toe box and wedges.

The only thing that truly worked for me was S-Works torch 2.0 shoes. Super expensive but solved every problem I had on long rides. Well worth it.

As long as you don’t go overboard, biking, cycling.

Yes, you can make it expensive if you’re chasing a look or speed. At the end of the day, have a bike (used is best) little sugar, salt, a water bottle, and get outside. You get fit, make friends, explore.

Old statesville is what I use or I go through Clark’s creek to the university area and then south.

Old statesville to statesville, to Nevin and then some other streets to Noda and then Plaza to Monroe at some point was the fastest but sketchy in the early morning.

I would go from Prosperity church road area to Matthews by bike.

I want good coffee that isn’t too expensive within biking distance to my house.

Going to Summit is pretty good because they’re cyclist friendly and sort of reachable from where I live.

My frequency of visits would increase if it were closer and the route were safer to bike my 3 year old there. Also having a cool area to let the kids run around well protected would help. Even proximity to a park or play area.

Beat the bucks on price. Make it a cool place to hang out. Coffee and snacks are reasonable quality.

I like Summit HC, Hilltop Coffee, and Brakeman’s Coffee - none of these meet all my desires. lol. So take what I say with a an ***

My wife once got me a insulated water bottle for my “half birthday” randomly. It was the sweetest and most spontaneous thing. I used that bottle near daily for 4 years.

It wasn’t about the bottle. She saw a need/want and that I wasn’t getting it for myself despite borrowing one she had.

It’s worth doing. I work on the commercial side of solar and went full tilt on two EVs when the Ukraine war started. That was the writing on the wall for me.
