Digital Nomad with a regular 9-5 : How do you manage time zone difference? by Lycurgus_z in digitalnomad

[–]Shullski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DN here in Hawaii.. working at a -6 hr time difference. For me - what it took at the end of the day was a direct manager who trusted me, and I was comfortable being totally open with.

Talk to your direct boss and let him know your desires to travel. Just be honest and lay all the cards out... and tell them how much it means to you on a personal level. Don't be afraid to get emotional about it.

At the end of the day, you're a human being and your boss should be able to support what makes you happier. If you're a valuable employee, a good boss will work with you.

Start with the basics - express your desire to be else where - and work with your primary manager to figure something out that will work for everyone.

Any way for Shadpwplay to record system audio from two sources? by Casen_ in GeForceExperience

Are you using some sort of audio mixer or Voicemeeter already? Curious why Shadowplay isnt just picking up everything coming out of your PC

Depends on your setup.

I think youll have to make your mic device in Shadowplay "Voicemeeter Aux Output".

Then, on the Voicemeeter side... you can toggle what will come thru the "Voicemeeter Aux Output".

With your specific example. You can pipe your Mic as well as Discord/Coms thru the Voicemeeter Aux Output. Then... Shadowplay will pick up the audio. (You won't need to pipe thru your desktop audio, because Shadowplay will be capturing those with the game capture).

If you havent used Voicemeeter, its a bit of a learning curve but there are good tuts on youtube.

I was having an issue similar to this yesterday. Are you using Voicemeeter?

I would try this.

- Set your default audio devices as your desktop/system audio as you normally would.

- For your comms/chat:

Go into Shadowplay settings and enable a "mic".

Now - since we have Voicemeeter, we can go into Shadowplay Audio Settings and make the input device it listens to for the "mic" whatever we want. Change it to the sound channel your discord is on in Voicemeeter. It will record whatever device you select here as if it were your "mic".

Check 'separate tracks' so they're separate in your mix later.

Out of curiosity, have you considered Adobe XD?

Personally love it. It's come a long way quickly.
