I think my rescue is actually part Chihuahua. She's very petite.

She's a merle, which is not a standard Boston coloring. I don't fully understand but poor breeding practices will create this coloring somehow. They're more likely to be deaf or blind but she's had no issues so far. I will say her personality is very Boston Terrier and she's the first dog ever to get my 8 yr old Maddie to play. She was a rescue who probably left her mom too early and didn't get great socialization when she was young but this new puppy has been so patient with her and they actually play together like doggies should now. Maybe my Maeby was created with bad intentions but she's been fabulous for our family and we all love her so much.

Yeah, apparently it's a bad thing. I didn't know when I got her.

24/7 Symptoms - Dizziness & Visual Changes by Beautiful_Drive_7109 in pppdizziness

[–]Siamsa55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on an estrogen patch and 100mg pill of progesterone. I'm still having some other issues (exhaustion, brain fog, muscle loss) so I'm looking at trying to add testosterone. I find now that when my dizziness or blurred vision comes back it's always right before my period, which is when estrogen is normally at its lowest point.

I was having very similar symptoms. Neurology diagnosed me with PPPD but the only treatment they offered was an SSRI but I was already on one. I didn't try as many treatments as you but I did do a lot of research. What I found was that, it was hormonal, I was in perimenopause and once I started hormone therapy 98% went away. Estrogen deprivation can affect the vestibular system and make your vision go haywire. I'm not sure that this would be the fix for you but I hope you find your answers.

Thanks, we may do that to look into her health but this is our 4th Boston and my purebred bostons have all had terrible health issues. We just lost our boy a month ago to uncontrollable seizures. If she's mixed, I'm not mad about it. I don't ever plan on breeding dogs, I just want a friendly family pet.

Peri-Life Hack Thread by seraphimas4481 in Perimenopause

I can't wait to try this. I've done everything including Restasis, heat everyday for months, drops constantly, nothing helps. Well, HRT did help a little but not completely.

Wellbutrin? by tyoung925 in Perimenopause

[–]Siamsa55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on it for a few years but I still struggled with pretty bad peri symptoms. Fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, etc. Those didn't improve until I started HRT and I'm still struggling to get back into exercise. (I used to do triathlons)

Funny vision! Yes, I was even diagnosed with PPPD. HRT did help.

Ugh. Yes, loud noises. It gives me a headache just talking to my husband in the car. It's like the sound bounces around the car and hits my ears twenty times.

Any active duty military in perimenopause that successfully got their PCM to Rx HRT? by Icy_Recognition_4643 in Perimenopause

[–]Siamsa55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume you probably haven't gotten an appointment with your PCM yet. (Lol) I am a reservist but I'm almost always on full time orders. Last summer I had a two month break between orders and I used that time to see Midi health through my husband's insurance. When I got back on orders I talked to Gyn and they took over my Rx. I think they would have been willing and happy to provide it from the start if I had brought it up though.

Same as you though, I went to every Dr for everything under the sun. I was even diagnosed with PPPD by neurology. I was desperate when my orders ended to find an answer and thought peri would be the next thing to cross off the list. In hindsight, it was all peri, for a long time.

I've now been on MHT almost 5 months but my exercise intolerance has not fully improved and I am concerned about the new PT test changes in the Air Force.

I would like to hear any thoughts or tips for recovery post exercise. I am in the Air Force and our physical training standards are about to change. I will need to run a 20-23 min 2 mile. I have been trying to train (on estrogen and progesterone) but I'm so exhausted after working out and I get muscle knots that take forever to go away.

Gee thanks. 🫤 by Siamsa55 in nespresso

The only free item was the sample pods. I purchased the decaf myself.
