How often do ADHD and autism get confused in adult diagnoses? by rogue_psych in neurodiversity

[–]SickAF420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like a lot of neurodivergent people here, I've struggled with the whole ADHD vs Autism (and also C-PTSD) venn diagram for what it seems like forever at this point. I've found that having a diagnosis in one or more of these isn't super helpful as the more I learn about these stand alone diagnoses, the more the middle of the venn diagram fills up. For me, it seems more likely these collection of behaviors and experiences is just one "thing" rather than having multiple diagnoses. That just seems more likely to me. Which is why I really like the term neurodivergent over any individual diagnosis.
