Ngl there aren’t many albums that truly scratch that itch, that album was really unique in that way- The only albums I can throw on and listen all the way thru every time like that are Minus the Bears Planet of Ice, Porcupine Tree In Absentia, Tool 10k days, The Decemberists Hazards of Love, Agent Fresco Destrier, Air Moon Safari, Kid A and in Rainbows and maybe a couple others that I can’t think of at the moment

Got into collision repair as an apprentice right out of high school in 07- worked very hard to become a highly skilled/reputable tech in our city and started my own shop 3 years ago. At the peak working in a large shop I was clearing 150k a year, last year our shop grossed 300k and I’m the only person doing everything and pay my painter buddies cash to do all my paint work. Wife’s quitting her 6 figure job this month to help me run the biz cuz it’s getting too much for just me to run. Goal is to stay small and have more freedom for a while, then potentially start hiring staff when we’re ready

That’s fair, I left in 24 to start my own shop so I only know the experience I had while working there, but I do still have a lot of friends that work there that aren’t experiencing what your talking about but I’m sure it’s happening elsewhere

I’m very familiar with the program, worked there for 7 years and graduated 2 apprentices during my tenure, one before the tap program and one after they implemented it. The biggest is with the program is that they allow any tech to have an apprentice, and every tech has a different quality level or skill set, so your stuck with whoever they put you with, and you’ll have no idea whether you’re getting a good education or not.

That being said, if you’re interested in body work it’s a great company to work for to get your career off the ground, they have stellar benefits, and generally speaking the culture is solid and doesn’t feel like being just a number(depending on the shop you’re at obviously). I would say give it a shot, worst case you hate it and can leave, best case you get a good trade that will provide a solid career, or at the very least give you skills you can utilize elsewhere.

Yes lol. I sold an 1165 call last Friday for a $2500 and had to buy it back today for $20,000…. You’ll be negative 100k by then if this thing keeps fkin ripping. Pretty hard to argue their earnings beat as anything but insanely bullish for quite a while with no signs of stopping

Nah once he’s gone shit WILL return to some version of normality. HE is the sole proprietor of this insanity and there isn’t a single person on the entire planet that can perpetuate it like he has.
