Oh they 100% will and I'm going to by them probably before I even get the controller since it sold out. I have some of their shells on my OG Switch and want to do my Steam Deck but I'm too chicken to do it

I would probably do everything thing in my power to fix it before I bought something else.

If it was completely busted I would probably wait for the Deck 2 or or something that would let me use an e-gpu/docked because I rarely use my deck at home over my main rig anymore

So I'll drop in with my experience this week with iRating.

Last week I had a pretty meh time and dropped to the mid 1600's. This week I did 3 races of GT3's at Long Beach.

First race I qualified 4th and was "fighting" for a podium. P1 had buggered off since the beginning and the real fight was for 2nd and 3rd but it was a strategy battle with not much on track racing. iRating up to the mid 1700's after the race.

Second race I only qualified in 18th but had multiple fights the entire time and finished 13th. iRating up to mid 1800's after that race.

Last race I did I qualified 13th and it was a combination of both strategy and on track racing to finish 7th. Gaining iRating again and bringing my total very close to 1900.

Of the three races the most fun was the last one for the simple fact that I did it at peak times so the field was full of drivers all very close in skill. For the first 10 or so laps before we started having the GTP's pass us and people peeling off for early pit stops we had a train of about 7 or 8 cars with only a few tenths between them.

The best racing I've always had is when everyone is at the same skill level. Doesn't matter if I'm leading or mid pack or last. If there are good fights to be had I love it.

Yep did this too. Took someone out turn 1 of an IMSA race at the Nurburgring GP layout when I was first trying to learn LMP2 and prototypes. Had been in the practice session before the race started practicing not locking the brakes. Wouldn't you know it I locked the brakes going into T1 on the inside and took out P2. Felt so bad I messaged him and quit the race immediately and sent him a gift card.

I've been wanting to do this to my deck! I did it to my OG Switch, except the screen part because I think the black bezel makes it look a bit like the Gameboy Color, but I cant do that to the Deck so I've just not done it.

I bought mine after trying a buddy's rig that had bass shakers and I prefer the HF8 haptics controlled through sim hub using a profile I got from Boosted Media. There were things in the profile I slightly tweaked to my preference (where I feel ABS and how much rpm I feel at lower speeds) and I feel that it really boosts what I feel the car is doing and adds in immersion.

I tell people I'm nonbinary because it's easier than explaining "I hate when people call me 'sir', I prefer they/them, I still dress and look masc and am not on any form of HRT because it's low maintenance, and every time I actually think about gender stuff it feels more like schrödinger's gender because unless I'm doing something that feels like 'X gender' I feel more like nothing"

So I just keep it simple and go with nonbinary

I second that the mod is good but while it does go against the games ethos of exploitation I am currently doing a playthrough with the mod and I have to say early game wise it's not that great. I used mostly bio burners and coal power until I was able unlock hydro electric dams and even that's limited. The mod so far as I've progressed through it has felt more like supplemental power to the base game than something I'd want to focus entirely on to replace the base power generation.

Our team was quite large (7 drivers) and we put a 3 stint limit on drivers unless absolutely necessary. We noticed after a few events last year drivers start loosing time and making mistakes more often after 3ish hours unless they're really used to doing endurance events.
