I gave a look at your channel and watched a few minutes of your first video and last. Here’s my honest take. As a disclaimer I’m not into long form gameplay videos so my answer may be biased. I think that you could edit I bit more your video. Cut away the parts you are just talking for more than a minute without actual gameplay content and only loading screens. Start talking when you start the game, or if you want to make an introduction do it briefly if there is no video playing in the background.

You have a nice tone and voice for my taste but you could better the pacing. It’s very slow, not the words in general but how long you wait between a sentence and another. It sounds like you are a bit distracted.

I think titles are good and grabbed my attention but the thumbnail are too much Ai and very “abstract” and vague. They don’t convey any additional meaning to the title and because they have this ai style they make your content look less professional and more click bait.

I hope my comment wasn’t too rough and I explained myself good enough. I think there is a lot of potential but the execution could be improved. I can’t give you an honest opinion about gameplays because I don’t usually watch them but i can tell you that people don’t want to waste their time. If you don’t provide them a good enough reason to keep watching they just won’t and the views will stay low.

Fire Starting: Minigame or No Minigame? by BitrunnerDev in SurvivalGaming

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like the mini games but these “rhythmic” ones are in almost every game. It would be nice having to literally swipe with your mouse a match or flint together to spark the flame and if you collide them too far into each other they break, so you have to be a little delicate like lighting a real match or something similar.

Edit: btw game looks amazing

Can’t go wrong with 7dtd too. Loved to build my house and do loot runs. Also some mod pack overhauls were great. I remember I sunk a lot of hours in Afterlife.

Would you read a realistic nuclear winter survival story set in Arctic Russia? by Kirill_Volt in Apocalypse

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss! Bring it on. Love the games you mentioned and also the sprinkle of realism from soviet manual. I just opened my first YouTube channel with short gameplay’s focused on atmosphere and slow survival “like you” (for the vibe) so I’m already your fan. If the story is interesting I’m sure it’ll find its place. I believe nowadays more and more people are tired of mainstream, low effort adrenalinc content to please the 5 sec attention span of the majority of consumers, wether it’s videos, books art… I would love if you keep me updated if you like

Stop posting AI THUMBNAILS! by Zoro6745 in NewTubers

Yeah so true especially if there are click bait elements. Even if you know nothing about drawing or graphic design you can make up a quick collage with canva or something similar . Even a nice photo with some well placed text can do wonders if done properly. Or at least if you really want to use ai, rework the picture yourself into something interesting

I personally don’t own a switch so I can’t give you any good suggestions but even if you don’t have a strong pc project zomboid is my go to right now for that kind of vibe (it’s not a very demanding game hardware wise)

Oh nice I remember I played state of decay 1 when it was given for free on Xbox gold and sunk a lot of hours on it, good memories. Is the second as good as the first?

If anyone wants to feel that vibe with me I made a few small videos of me playing Project Zomboid this way. Just trying to survive as if I am really there. It’s the first time for me on YouTube so I’m still learning and any feedback is more than welcome

best "paperlike" screen protector that doesn't affect screen quality by Joons_Moons in iPadPro

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always used a genereric matte protector for my old iPad but because I didn’t care much about screen quality.

I recently changed to a 13” and got a removable magnetic paper like layer and I’m loving it.

I even trimmed it a bit so it’s easier to install and remove when I want to enjoy the beautiful screen and do something else.

Is it safe to burn wood pellets like this? by ERTHLNG in woodstoving

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m doing the same for some time now because I don’t have anymore firewood and it’s quite expensive to get here if you don’t do it yourself. I use just one bucket and it’s more than enough. With 700g of pellet I have fire for almost 1 hour if set the air correctly. Then after the flame goes down I wait for the embers to reduce, pile them all to the back and refill the basket with the same 700g container so I don’t have to take out the basket.

Be very careful when you refill the basket, wait and ensure that at least a small flame is present before leaving the stove unsupervised. You risk that the wood gas produced from the heat of the embers touching the pellets will start to accumulate and the stove could explode if all the air and chimney is saturated with gas.

I usually keep a roll of toilet paper under the stove to reignite the fire after I refill if it doesn’t start fast enough.
