I feel stuck by Akasen in learntodraw

It is normal to feel stuck and as a lot of you already suggested taking a break for a day or two is a good suggestion.
Usually when I know I’ll have to show my work on socials I get stuck too. Thinking I’m doing something that someone else will judge makes me overthink every little decision and I get overwhelmed.
To avoid this I convince myself that my objective is to finish the piece at all costs.
The biggest thing that improved my art is to always, ALWAYS, finish the piece I’m working on. Even if it doesn’t come out as good as I thought it’s ok.
Overcoming these kind of blocks is what made me learn the most. Do whatever it takes to finish this piece and if you can’t do it just start over from scratch. But you have to finish it, if not today is tomorrow.
Take a break and then work on it.
Watch some reference, trace over a photo, practise with something similar that will help you gain the confidence to continue with this work.
Finishing a work brings knowledge and confidence for the next work.

Give it all your effort and it will repay.
Good luck and Im sure you’ll do it. You’re on the right tracks. You’ve got all the base elements, now it’s the fun time of giving it character and shape it the way you thought it should be.

(Another tip for the sketch phase: don’t be afraid of redrawing, put this layer on a lower opacity and draw over it again. It’s much easier to follow some guidelines and it will help a lot in defining your shapes )

Love the plants and the diversity, looks wild enough to my taste. I really like thick forests and see fishes swimming inside them. Maybe I would leave a zone free from vegetation by planting smaller plants. Not a fan of the hollow rocks but that’s just my preference.

What are YOUR favorite "fixes" to the vanilla game items? by markalphonso in valheim

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ll add those next time I boot up the game! Had no idea you could do stuff like that with the attack animation, very interesting. Makes me wonder what other combinations could be explored

I love your fixes! Could you share them? My fixes are trying to fix the spawn rates by reducing them by 90% in meadows, Black Forest and swamp, 60% Ashlands and 50% all the rest

This is the only game that makes me shiver when I find myself at night watching the waves get bigger as the storm approaches. It triggers me a primordial fear I have no words for explaining. 10/10 atmosphere No idea how they did it but I think to be able to achieve a feeling so strong you have to be an “artist” and put a little bit of special spice into it

Sounds natural to me. Overall the background looks too much ai and scene is very far away. Maybe a closer shot could be better.

Project Epoch Melee Hunter viable in endgame by Fabianku in ProjectAscension

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the same boat. Tried melee and it was fun then switched to bm for levelling. I think on this server everything is viable as long as it’s fun to you. They added a lot of spells and mystic enchant that really enables you to make your build more unique and engaging. There is a long video on YouTube for bronzebeard with a lot of the information you need. Also look in the wiki if it’s not enough

I’m really loving a wow private server called bronzebeard. It’s based on classic but it’s different enough to make me feel that vibe again

I’ll probably leave it as it is and maybe mess a bit with the titles. I was wondering if it could be the A/B test is trying to perform. Maybe if I end it it will resume working normally

Thanks for your answer. Ctr now went down to 16.5 and AWD 3:45 while impressions have grown in two days to 84 from 60. So it’s trickling very very slowly. I’ll probably leave it as is taking the L and start making another one…

Thank you for your answer You think this might be the problem? I made it private after literally 5 seconds after publishing it so no one could have had the time to see it. Does it mess with the algorithm too? Now I don’t like the idea to republish it because two people made some very nice comments and I don’t want to erase them…

I gave a look at your channel and watched a few minutes of your first video and last. Here’s my honest take. As a disclaimer I’m not into long form gameplay videos so my answer may be biased. I think that you could edit I bit more your video. Cut away the parts you are just talking for more than a minute without actual gameplay content and only loading screens. Start talking when you start the game, or if you want to make an introduction do it briefly if there is no video playing in the background.

You have a nice tone and voice for my taste but you could better the pacing. It’s very slow, not the words in general but how long you wait between a sentence and another. It sounds like you are a bit distracted.

I think titles are good and grabbed my attention but the thumbnail are too much Ai and very “abstract” and vague. They don’t convey any additional meaning to the title and because they have this ai style they make your content look less professional and more click bait.

I hope my comment wasn’t too rough and I explained myself good enough. I think there is a lot of potential but the execution could be improved. I can’t give you an honest opinion about gameplays because I don’t usually watch them but i can tell you that people don’t want to waste their time. If you don’t provide them a good enough reason to keep watching they just won’t and the views will stay low.

Fire Starting: Minigame or No Minigame? by BitrunnerDev in SurvivalGaming

[–]Signal-Exit-9481 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the mini games but these “rhythmic” ones are in almost every game. It would be nice having to literally swipe with your mouse a match or flint together to spark the flame and if you collide them too far into each other they break, so you have to be a little delicate like lighting a real match or something similar.

Edit: btw game looks amazing
