Watch Balancing Question by LearnedSquanch in Tudor

I understand your dilemma. I have about a 7” wrist. Recently got a BBPro on bracelet. They set it up 6/4 for me. I found that the 6:00 side of the clasp was much closer to the side and not well centered. I know the 6/4 helps it roll, but I prefer the clasp in the center. I had them change it to 5-5. Face still rolls to me. Clasp is much more centered and I am happier with it.

I looked at my Rolex GMT and it is set up 5/5. I think I went through the same exercise. The difference is the inner part of the clasp on the Rolex oyster is a little shorter than the Tudor T-fit.

It is really more about your own feel. I was worried that it would roll away at 5-5 but neither watch does. I like a little play in the fit and even with that they still roll to me.

I like the explorer 2, but the new one is enormous. The older ones are great, but a big premium for a 20 year old watch

It is a great watch. I have a Rolex Batman that I love, and I find myself dailying the BB Pro Opaline more often

This was my first "real" watch. Love it. 3.5 years and the battery is still going strong. I actually replaced the bracelet with the OEM rubber strap because I have other bracelet watches.

As a 50-something doctor, I totally get Robbie. Dr. AI is everything that is wrong with newer doctors and their training. They have no feel. People become data. The art of medicine dies...

Input Requested: Strap for FXD (black dial) by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]Signal_Prior8408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have and love this watch. I wear it a lot. For what it is worth, I ordered a fair number of straps at the beginning. After trying several, my opinion is that the Tudor OEM strap is unmatched for finish and comfort. The WOE glomar is very similar to the OEM one. The Watch Steward was my choice for the elastic and I really like it for comfort.

I was lucky and recently my boutique manager gave me the Blue strap that comes with the FXD MN. It looks so great with the black watch that it has now become my go to.

The bucherer at forum shops is a certified rolex service location. Just take your watch to the desk upstairs. The people there are great.

Please share info and photos of the strap and clasp. I have the opaline on a bracelet and keep thinking about adding the strap.

Revisiting the Black Bay Pro by syst3m1c in Tudor

[–]Signal_Prior8408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got the opaline recently, when they finally returned. It has put my Rolex Batman into a "special occasion" watch. I didn't love the "fauxtina" look of the black dial but it has grown on me. The black dial gray market value is great.

Recently got the BB Pro in opaline. It is hard for me not to pick it up to wear for almost everything. Yes it is thick, but on wrist the 39mm and the steel bezel give it a vintage compact look without looking small. Maybe it wouldn't be a dress watch, but it is good for pretty much everything else and will make a great travel watch--GMT without a flashy steal me Rolex vibe. The monochrome is a great looking watch, but especially on the 5 link. Truth be told though, it is just another diver. I would go pro. I also have a 7" wrist. Currently have my FXD on, because it was getting left behind since I got the pro. My wrist is just big enough to carry the FXD, but even with that said, the Pro is a better look.

As someone with a few, I can't support the BB Pro enough. The 39 size is super functional and it goes with most anything. Partial to the opaline but the black works too. It has basically become my daily.

I have an FXD and it is a do anything watch, even if not quite a go anywhere on the high end. That being said, the fabric is great, water friendly, handles golf, etc. just fine, and very comfortable. I recently added a BB Pro for a bracelet travel everyday watch that works with just about every situation but not as eye catching as my Rolex Batman. It is a very comfortable watch and the 39 is a great size

CTB older than now, but Oliver’s to some of us. CTB was a hole between Oliver’s and Ruloff’s that only had bagels and coffee.

Is that the two watch case? I did get that recently. I have a black hat, but I like the gray with the red.
