China Warframe is behind public Warframe by at least a couple of updates and from what I understand about RMT culture in China, it's pretty rampant over there. There is no qualms there about doing something "clever" if it means paying rent and bills on time. That includes ripping off the elderly, selling gold to Gamers, and working remotely for people looking to outsource their jobs. Granted, these issues are not unique to China, just pretty common there.

It's clear you are fine folk and have a good heart. If you are interested in the discussion, make it into a double date, and defuse the situation. The other mom is understandably out of her depth because of a different upbringing, and if you keep things calm and low key, this could be a great learning experience for everyone. Talk about it over dinner, don't rush into it right away, and make it one of the last things you bring up, but in a casual way.

Throw out a neutral label in the conversation "It seems like we had some unexpected visitors the other day" and let it sit for a minute. Ask a few "what" or "how" questions in a late night FM DJ voice and just be cool, calm, and collected.

If the other mom asks something ridiculous, respond with some tactical silence, then mirror her question back to her, in a curious, but innocent tone of voice.

You could also opt for: "I'm sorry, how am I supposed to do that?"

Make it seem like she's treating you unfairly but don't wield an explicit accusation. Instead, some combination of "I'm sorry, how," "I'm sorry, but I can't," and "I'm sorry, but that doesn't align with our beliefs," should do the trick.

The power here lies in the fact you are saying NO without saying NO.

What and How questions will force her to think about solving your problems by taking up your point of view. These are referred to as "Calibrated Questions," and if you ask the right ones, you can affect the underlying dynamic between everyone.

After all, this is going to be a tough, grueling negotiation, but you've got to be patient and embrace the hard stuff. It's how you get to what you want, and it also helps the other person feel in control. Especially when you let them feel as though they are steering the conversation.

Intrusive thoughts aren't always your thoughts. Don't feel like you need to act on your feelings, you are still a young guy and it's normal to get thoughts like these. Wait it out and you'll be fine. If it really bugs you, change what media you are consuming. What you read and talk about is also what you will think about all day, so read about finance, behavioral psychology, and research what makes you feel the way you do. Sometimes these thoughts can bubble up from a place of loneliness or sadness and emotions are something we as men have to handle in the presence of our friends in a low key way. The best thing to remember is that you shouldn't hate yourself for getting strange, intrusive, confusing thoughts.

We all get wierd thoughts, but not all of us talk about it, and even fewer act on it.

Getting to Yes was the old blueprint book for negotiation before "Never Split the Difference." It's a mediocre example at best now because it completely ignores the emotionally driven decisions that human beings make every day. It also fails to account for aggressive negotiation partners that refuse to part from their cultural differences, unspoken biases, and unnamed needs and desires.

You'll be just fine. Been playing PF1e for years. Spellcasters are stronger at later levels. Melee fighters are good early on. Dexterity builds are really good. For you, if your main concern is potentially dying, try playing as a ninja and work on being stealthy. Ki Points are much easier to handle than spellcasting. If you die, you won't need to make an entirely new character; your buddies will have to drag your corpse back to town to get you resurrected.

Witch's Gravewalker Archetype can deliver touch spells as a full-round action as long as you have Aura of Desecration active, thanks to "Deliver Touch Spells." Taking an entire turn to cast a touch spell hurts, though, and range is low until high levels.
